Premiering tonight is the PBS documentary Muhammad Ali directed and executive produced by Ken Burns, Sarah Burns & David McMahon about the iconic heavyweight boxing champion who became an inspiration to people everywhere. The film’s original music is composed by songwriter and hip hop record producer Jahlil Beats. A soundtrack album featuring the artist’s music has been released today. Premiering tomorrow, September 20 is the Fox comedy drama The Big Leap created by Liz Heldens and starring Scott Foley, Simone Recasner, Piper Perabo, Jon Rudnitsky, Ser’Darius Blain, Raymond Cham, Jr., Kevin Daniels, Mallory Jansen, Anna Grace Barlow and Teri Polo. Joe Wong (The Midnight Gospel, Master of None, To All the Boys I’ve Loved BeforeRussian Doll) is composing the show’s original score. A first song from the series (Just Like Heaven produced by Wong and performed by Eryn Allen Kane) was released this past week. Also premiering tomorrow is the NBC drama Ordinary Joe created by Matt Reeves, developed by Russel Friend & Garrett Lerner and starring James Wolk, Elizabeth Lail, Natalie Martinez, Charlie Barnett, Anne Ramsay, David Warshofsky, Kai A. Ealy, John Gluck and Adam Rodriguez. The show’s original music is composed by James S. Levine (Glee, American Horror Story, Nip/TuckDamages, StarBloodline, The Last Ship). Premiering on Tuesday, September 21, is the CBS drama FBI: International created by Derek Haas and starring Luke Kleintank, Heida Reed, Vinessa Vidotto, Carter Redwood and Christiane Paul. Premiering on Wednesday, September 22, is the ABC comedy The Wonder Years developed by Saladin K. Patterson based on the classic 80s series of the same title, narrated by Don Cheadle and starring Elisha “EJ” Williams, Dulé Hill, Saycon Sengbloh, Laura Kariuki Julian Lerner, Amari O’Neil and Milan Ray. The show’s original music is composed by Jacob Yoffee & Roahn Hylton (Free Meek, Best ShotSherwood). Premiering on Friday, September 24, is the Apple TV+ original series Foundation developed by David S. Bear McCreary (Godzilla: King of the Monsters, 10 Cloverfield Lane, Outlander, Battlestar GalacticaHappy Death DayFreaky) is composing the show’s original music. The show’s original music is composed by The Newton Brothers (Doctor Sleep, The Haunting of Hill House, Oculus, The Forever Purge, The Walking Dead: World Beyond). Also premiering on Friday is the Amazon original movie Birds of Paradise written and directed by Sarah Adina Smith and starring Kristine Froseth, Diana Silvers, Jacqueline Bisset and Stav Strashko. Ellen Reid (Buster’s Mal Heart, The Midnight Swim) has composed the film’s original music. The drama, which follows an an aspiring ballerina who is given a scholarship to attend a prestigious ballet school in Paris, where her confidence gets tested by a fellow dancer who recently lost her brother, will be available to stream exclusively on Amazon Prime.
