The show is created by Phoebe Waller-Bridge (Fleabag, Crashing) and stars Sandra Oh, Jodie Comer, Fiona Shaw, David Haig, Kim Bodnia, Darren Boyd, Sean Delaney, Kirby Howell-Baptiste and Owen McDonnell. The thriller centers on two women: a bored, whip-smart, pay-grade MI5 officer whose desk job doesn’t fulfill her fantasies of being a spy, and a mercurial, talented killer who clings to the luxuries her violent job affords her.

‘Orphan Black’ – The DNA Sampler Announced
Varese Sarabande has announced a new soundtrack album for the BBC America original series Orphan Black. The DNA Sampler features a number of songs as heard in the five-year run of the show by artists including The Ettes, The Belle Game, Eileen, (International) Noise Conspiracy, Dr. V feat. Ted Hawkins, Hooded Fang and Arya, as well as exclusive tracks created for the series. The soundtrack will be released on December 8, 2017 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The label has previously released two soundtrack albums featuring songs and score from the drama.

The Newton Brothers to Score ‘Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency’ Season 2
The Newton Brothers (Oculus, Ouja: Origin of Evil, Life of Crime) have been hired to score the second season of the BBC America original series Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency. The show is developed by Max Landis (Chronicle, American Ultra) and stars Samuel Barnett, Elijah Wood, Hannah Marks, Jade Eshete, Mpho Koaho, Fiona Dourif, Michael Eklund, Osric Chau and Dustin Milligan. The comedic thriller is based on Douglas Adams’ novel of the same title and follows the bizarre adventures of eccentric “holistic” detective Dirk Gently and his reluctant assistant Todd, as they wend their way through one big, seemingly insane mystery.

Premiering on Friday, April 14, is the Netflix original movie Sandy Wexler directed by Steven Brill and starring Adam Sandler, Jennifer Hudson, Terry Crews, Arsenio Hall, Kevin James and Rob Schneider. Rupert Gregson-Williams (Hacksaw Ridge, The Legend of Tarzan, Wonder Woman) has composed the film’s original score. ‘Broadchurch’ The Final Chapter Soundtrack Details
Mercury Classics will release a new soundtrack album for the ITV original series Broadchurch. The album features the original music from the show’s third and final season composed by Olafur Arnalds. Also included is the song Take My Leave of You written by the composer and performed by Arnór Dan, which has already been released as a digital single. The soundtrack will be released on April 7, 2017 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Broadchurch is created by Chris Chibnall and stars David Tennant, Olivia Colman, Jodie Whittaker, Andrew Buchan, Arthur Darvill, Carolyn Pickles, Adam Wilson and Phoebe Waller-Bridge.
Hans Zimmer, Jacob Shea & Jasha Klebe to Score BBC’s ‘Blue Planet II’
BBC America announced today that Hans Zimmer, Jacob Shea and Jasha Klebe are scoring the upcoming BBC docu-series Blue Planet II for Bleeding Fingers Music. The 7-part series is presented and narrated by Sir David Attenborough and will immerse audiences in the world’s oceans, which are still the most expansive but least known parts of our planet. The show is produced by BBC Studios Natural History Unit, BBC America, WDR and France Télévisions in partnership with The Open University.

Premiering on Tuesday, February 14, is the Netflix original movie Girlfriend’s Day directed by Michael Stephenson and starring Bob Odenkirk, Amber Tamblyn, Natasha Lyonne. The film’s original music is composed by Bobby Tahouri (Husk, Across the Hall, Rise of the Tomb Raider video game). Girlfriend’s Day follows an unemployed greeting card writer must who gets caught up in a conspiracy and must create the perfect card for a new holiday to save his skin. The comedy will be available to stream on Netflix on Tuesday.
Premiering in the U.S. on Saturday, February 18, is the BBC Earth documentary series Planet Earth narrated by David Attenborough, executive produced by Michael Gunton and produced by Tom Hugh-Jones.
