Varese Sarabande has announced the latest titles in the CD Club series. Among the titles is a deluxe edition for Star Trek: Nemesis, the tenth feature in the series and the final movie with the Next Generation crew, directed by Stuart Baird and starring Jonathan Frakes, Patrick Stewart, Brent Spiner, Tom Hardy and Marina Sirtis. The album includes the world premiere release of the complete score composed and conducted by Jerry Goldsmith (The Omen, Planet of the Apes, Patton) who previously scored Star Trek: The Motion Picture, The Final Frontier, First Contact and Insurrection. Nemesis marked his final score for the franchise. The soundtrack also features source music and alternate cues. Alan Silvestri to Score ‘Run All Night’
Alan Silvestri has been tapped to score the upcoming action thriller Run All Night. The film is directed by Jaume Collet-Serra and stars Liam Neeson, Joel Kinnaman, Ed Harris, Common and Natalie Martinez. The movie follows an aging hitman who is forced to take on his brutal former boss to protect his estranged son and his family. Brad Inglesby (Out of the Furnace) has written the screenplay and Roy Lee (The Strangers, The Lake House, Oldboy) is producing the Vertigo Entertainment and with Brooklyn Weaver. Three of Collet-Serra’s previous features, including Unknown, Orphan and House of Wax, as well as the upcoming Non-Stop were scored by John Ottman.

Four new movies are opening nationwide this week:
Opening in most theaters is DreamWorks Animation’s latest feature Turbo is directed by David Soren and featuring the voice talent of Ryan Reynolds, Paul Giamatti, Michael Pena, Luis Guzmán, Bill Hader, Richard Jenkins, Ken Jeong, Michelle Rodriguez, Maya Rudolph, Ben Schwartz, Kurtwood Smith, Snoop Dogg and Samuel L. Jackson. The film’s original score is composed by Henry Jackman (Wreck-It-Ralph, X-Men: First Class). Relativity Music Group has released three different soundtrack editions for the film: a regular edition featuring the songs from the film, as well as selections of Jackman’s music, a deluxe edition featuring more score and a score-only album.
Expected to top the weekend box office is the horror thriller The Conjuring directed by James Wan and starring Lili Taylor, Vera Farmiga, Patrick Wilson, Ron Livingston, Joey King, Shanley Caswell, Haley McFarland, Mackenzie Foy, Kyla Deaver and Sterling Jerins. Joseph Bishara (Insidious, Dark Skies) has composed the film’s score. Alan Silvestri’s ‘Clean Slate’ and ‘The Perez Family’ Scores Released
Music Box Records has announced a soundtrack album featuring two previously unreleased scores written by Academy Award-nominated composer Alan Silvestri (Forrest Gump, Back to the Future, The Avengers). The album features the world premiere release of the score for the 1994 comedy Clean Slate directed by Mick Jackson (The Bodyguard) and starring Dana Carvey, Valeria Golino, Michael Gambon, James Earl Jones, Bryan Cranston, and Kevin Pollak. Also included is the first-ever official release of the score for the 1995 comedy The Perez Family directed by Mira Nair and starring Marisa Tomei, Alfred Molina and Anjelica Huston. ‘Red 2’ Soundtrack Details
Lionsgate Records will release a soundtrack album for the action comedy sequel Red 2. The album features the film’s original score composed and conducted by Alan Silvestri (Back to the Future, Forrest Gump, The Avengers). The soundtrack will be released digitally on July 16, 2013 and is now available for pre-order on iTunes, where you can also listen to audio clips from the score. La-La Land Records has announced a CD version to be released on July 30. Red 2 is directed by Dean Parisot (Galaxy Quest) and stars Bruce Willis, John Malkovich, Mary-Louise Parker, Anthony Hopkins, Helen Mirren, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Byung Hun Lee, Brian Cox and Neal McDonough. The film follows the team around retired black-ops CIA agent Frank Moses on a global quest to track down a missing portable nuclear device.
Alan Silvestri’s ‘Fandango’ Score Released
Intrada Records has announced the world premiere soundtrack release for the 1985 comedy drama Fandango directed by Kevin Reynolds and starring Kevin Costner and Judd Nelson. The album features the film’s original score composed and conducted by Alan Silvestri (Back to the Future, Forrest Gump, The Avengers). Also included are three extra tracks, including an alternate cue from the composer’s score. The soundtrack is now available to order on Intrada’s official website, where you can also check out audio clips from the soundtrack for the Warner Bros. and Amblin Entertainment production.

In the movie, retired black-ops CIA agent Frank Moses reunites his unlikely team of elite operatives for a global quest to track down a missing portable nuclear device. Jon Hoeber & Erich Hoeber (Red, Battleship) have written the screenplay and Lorenzo DiBonaventura (Transformers series, G.I. Joe: Rise of the Cobra & Retaliation) and Mark Vahradian (Red, Man on a Ledge) are producing the project for DiBonaventura Pictures.

‘The Croods’ Soundtrack Announced
A soundtrack album for Dreamworks Animations’s The Croods has been announced. The album features the film’s score composed by Alan Silvestri (Back to the Future, Forrest Gump, The Avengers), as well as the original song Shine Your Way by Owl City feat. Yuna. The soundtrack will be released overseas on March 18, 2013 by Sony Classical. A physical domestic release is set for March 26, 2013 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Expected to top the weekend box office is the animated feature Wreck-It-Ralph directed by Rich Moore and featuring the voice talent of John C. Reilly, Sarah Silverman, Jack McBrayer and Jane Lynch. The film’s score is composed by Henry Jackman (X-Men: First Class). Walt Disney Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the score, as well as one track by Skrillex who wrote some of the in-game music and other songs featured in the film. Attached to the film is the animated short Paperman, which features an original score by Christophe Beck.
Also opening wide is the drama director Robert Zemeckis and starring Denzel Washington, Kelly Reilly, Don Cheadle, Bruce Greenwood, John Goodman, Melissa Leo and James Badge Dale. The director’s regular musical collaborator Alan Silvestri (Back to the Future, The Avengers) has composed the film’s original score.
