Mark Mothersbaugh has signed on to score the upcoming musical comedy sequel Pitch Perfect 2. The film is directed by actress Elizabeth Banks who makes her feature directorial debut and stars Anna Kendrick, Brittany Snow, Anna Camp, Rebel Wilson, Alexis Knapp, Adam DeVine and Hailee Steinfeld. The movie follows the Barden Bellas as they take to the world championships of a capella, where a U.S. team has never won before. Kay Cannon (New Cannon) who scripted the original has also written the screenplay for the sequel. Banks also appears in the movie and is producing the project with Paul Brooks (Life As We Know It, New in Town) for Gold Circle Films and Max Handelman (Surrogates) for Brownstone Productions. ‘Get Santa’ Soundtrack Released

Universal Music has released a soundtrack album for the British family comedy Get Santa. The album features the film’s original music composed by Ilan Eshkeri (Stardust, Layer Cake, Still Alice, The Young Victoria). Also included are the songs from the film by artists including The Saturdays, Hudson Taylor, Bing Crosby, N.W.A., Diana Ross, Bobby Helms, The Drifters and more. The Weinstein Company has published the score for Tim Burton’s Big Eyes. The music is composed by the director’s regular musical collaborator Danny Elfman (Batman, Spider-Man, Alice in Wonderland). The film is directed by Alan Taylor (Thor: The Dark World, Game of Thrones) and stars Arnold Schwarzenegger, Emilia Clarke, Jason Clarke, Jai Courtney, Matt Smith, Lee Byung-hun, Dayo Okeniyi, Courtney B. Vance, Sandrine Holt and J. K. Simmons. The movie is the first part of a planned trilogy. Mars Films has published the first audio clip from the original score for Jean-Jacques Annaud’s epic drama Wolf Totem. The movie follows a police detective searching for the truth behind his partner’s death, while a Latina woman is witnessing a miracle.
