Atlantic Records will release a new soundtrack album for the HBO original series Vinyl. The album features musical highlights from the show’s first season, including songs by Elvis Costello, Charlie Wilson, Charli XCX, Iggy Pop, Trey Songz, Chris Cornell, The Arcs, Ty Taylor & more. The Essentials: Best of Season 1 soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, April 15 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The label has previously released a soundtrack featuring more songs from the drama. Vinyl is created by Terence Winter and stars Bobby Cannavale, Olivia Wilde, Ray Romano, Juno Temple, Ato Essandoh, P. J. Byrne, J. C. MacKenzie, Birgitte Hjort Sørensen and Paul Ben-Victor. The drama executive produced by Martin Scorsese is set in 1970s New York and tells the story of a record executive trying to resurrect his label and find the next new sound.

‘Vinyl’ Vol. 1.2 Soundtrack Released
Atlantic Records has released a new EP for the HBO original series Vinyl. The soundtrack features the songs from the second episode of the show by The Del-Tino’s, Aimee Mann, Jerry Lee Lewis, Julian Casablancas and Don Covay. The EP is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio samples. The label has previously released a full soundtrack album for the show and over the next couple of weeks will release new EPs every week with the songs from each episode. Vinyl created by Terence Winter, executive produced by Martin Scorsese and starring Bobby Cannavale, Olivia Wilde, Ray Romano, Juno Temple, Ato Essandoh, P. J. Byrne, J. C. Premiering tomorrow, February 15, is the Hulu mini-series 11.22.63 based on Stephen King’s 2011 novel, adapted by show runner Bridget Carpenter and starring James Franco, Sarah Gadon, Josh Duhamel, T.R. Knight, Daniel Webber, Chris Cooper, Cherry Jones, George MacKay, Lucy Fry, Jack Fulton and Leon Rippy. Executive producer J.J. Abrams has composed the theme for the opening titles sequence (which can be checked out here) and Alex Heffes (The Last King of Scotland, State of Play, The Rite) has composed the show’s original score. Nathan Larson to Score HBO’s ‘Vinyl’
Nathan Larson is set to compose the score for the upcoming HBO series Vinyl. The show is created by Terence Winter (Boardwalk Empire, The Wolf of Wall Street, The Sopranos) and stars Bobby Cannavale, Olivia Wilde, Ray Romano, Juno Temple, Ato Essandoh, P. J. Byrne, J. C. MacKenzie, Birgitte Hjort Sørensen and Paul Ben-Victor. The drama is set in 1970s New York and tells the story of Richie Finestra, a record executive trying to resurrect his label and find the next new sound. Martin Scorsese (Good Fellas, Taxi Driver, The Departed) has directed the pilot episode and is also executive producing the project with Winter, Mick Jagger, George Mastras (Breaking Bad), Rick Yorn (We Bought a Zoo), Victoria Pearman (Get on Up) and Emma Tillinger Koskoff (The Wolf of Wall Street).
