Dominic Lewis has been hired to score the upcoming comedy Rock That Body. The film is directed by Lucia Aniello (Broad City) and stars Scarlett Johansson, Kate McKinnon, Jillian Bell, Ilana Glazer, Zoe Kravitz, Demi Moore, Ty Burrell, Hasan Minhaj and Colton Haynes. The movie follows five friends who get a beach house in Miami for a wild bachelorette weekend that goes completely off the rails. Aniello also co-wrote the screenplay with Paul W. Downs. This week, Victor Reyes is recording his score for the upcoming psychological thriller Cold Skin. The film is directed by Xavier Gens (Hitman, The Divide, Frontier(s)) and stars Ray Stevenson, David Oakes and Aura Garrido. The movie is based on the book by Albert Sanchez Piñol of the same title and follows a young man who is approaching a remote island on the edge of the Antarctic Circle to relieve a weather observer who has been stationed there in solitude. The movie is based on the Australian TV series Dance Academy created by Samantha Strauss & Joanna Werner, which premiered in 2010, and tracks where the show’s characters are in their lives now. Daniel Hart is reteaming with director David Lowery on the upcoming drama A Ghost Story. The film is written and directed by Lowery and stars Casey Affleck, Rooney Mara, Will Oldham, Sonia Acevedo, Rob Zabrecky and Liz Franke. The movie follows a spectral figure, who was once a man and was prematurely taken from this Earth, who makes his way toward his former home, where he is fated to remain forevermore. Toby Halbrooks & James M. Johnston (Listen Up Philip) and Adam Donaghey are producing the project. Decca Records has released a soundtrack album for the Australian family comedy drama Red Dog: True Blue. The album features the film’s original music composed by Cezary Skubiszewski (The Sapphires, Death Defying Acts, Beneath Hill 60) who previously scored the 2011 original Red Dog movie. Also included are the songs from the movie by The Easybeats, Daddy Cool, Sherbet, The Travelling Wilbury & more. The soundtrack is now available digitally and physically in Australia. Visit Amazon to pre-order the album as an import. Red Dog: True Blue is directed by Kriv Stenders and stars Jason Isaacs, Levi Miller, Bryan Brown and Hanna Mangan Lawrence. The movie follows a young woman who falls in love with a married painter whose wife is unfaithful to him. Kar Wai Wong (In the Mood for Love, 2046, My Blueberry Nights) is producing the project. Michael Giacchino to Score J.A. Bayona’s ‘Jurassic World’ Sequel

Michael Giacchino confirmed in a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter that he will be returning to score the currently untitled Jurassic World sequel. The film will be directed by J.A. Bayona and is set to star Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Rafe Spall, Toby Jones, Justice Smith and. No plot details have been revealed yet. Colin Trevorrow who directed the first Jurassic World movie has written the screenplay with Derek Connolly (Safety Not Guaranteed). Alexandre Desplat (The Grand Budapest Hotel, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, The King’s Speech) has composed the show’s main titles music, as well as the main character theme and Tim Davies has composed the series’ score. ’20th Century Women’ Soundtrack Released

Rhino Records has released a soundtrack album for the comedy drama 20th Century Women. The album features the songs from the movie by David Bowie, Talking Heads, The Raincoats, Fred Astaire, Benny Goodman, Rudy Vallee, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Devo, Louis Armstrong, The Buzzcocks & more. Also included are selections from the film’s original score composed by Roger Neill (Beginners, Mozart in the Jungle, Don’t Think Twice, King of the Hill). The soundtrack is now available to download on iTunes, where you can also listen to audio samples. A CD version will be released on January 13, 2017 and will be available for pre-order on Amazon within the next few days and a vinyl version will be coming out on February 3 and can be pre-ordered here. 20th Century Women is written and directed by Mike Mills and stars Annette Bening, Elle Fanning, Greta Gerwig, Billy Crudup and Lucas Jake Zumann. Two new movies are opening nationwide this weekend:
Opening in most theaters is the sci-fi adventure Rogue One: A Star Wars Story directed by Gareth Edwards and starring Felicity Jones, Diego Luna, Ben Mendelsohn, Donnie Yen, Jiang Wen, Mads Mikkelsen, Alan Tudyk, Riz Ahmed and Forest Whitaker. The film’s original music is composed by Michael Giacchino (Star Trek, Up, Inside Out, Jurassic World, Doctor Strange). Walt Disney Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score, which also features themes by John Williams. Also opening wide is the drama Collateral Beauty directed by David Frankel and stars Will Smith, Edward Norton, Keira Knightley, Kate Winslet, Helen Mirren, Michael Peña and Naomie Harris. Theodore Shapiro (The Devil Wears Prada, Ghostbusters, Tropic Thunder, Marley & Me, St. Vincent) has composed the film’s original score.
