Four new movies are opening nationwide this weekend:
Expected to top the weekend box office is the horror thriller Happy Death Day directed by Christopher Landon and starring Jessica Rothe, Israel Broussard, Ruby Modine, Charles Aitken and Laura Clifton. The film’s original music is composed by Bear McCreary (10 Cloverfield Lane, The Walking Dead, Battlestar Galactica, Outlander, Colossal). Also opening wide is the action thriller The Foreigner directed by Martin Campbell and starring Jackie Chan and Pierce Brosnan. Cliff Martinez (Drive, Solaris, Traffic, Contagion, The Knick, Sex, Lies and Videotapes) has composed the film’s original music. Sony Classical has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score today. Varese Sarabande has announced details of the soundtrack album for Martin McDonagh’s comedy drama Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri. The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award nominee Carter Burwell (Carol, Fargo, Twilight, True Grit) who previously collaborated with the director on In Bruges and Seven Psychopaths. Also included are tracks by Joan Baez, Monsters of Folk, Townes Van Zandt and The Four Tops. The soundtrack is set to be released physically on November 17, 2017 and is now available for pre-order on
The full details of the soundtrack album for Yorgos Lanthimos’ drama The Killing of a Sacred Deer have been revealed. The album features the classical pieces as features in the movie by J.S Bach, Franz Schubert and Gyorgy Ligeti, score cues by accordion player Janne Raettya, as well as Ellie Goulding’s Burn performed by Raffey Cassidy and her song How Long Will I Love You.
