Already playing in theaters nationwide since this past Wednesday is the animated feature Minions & Monsters directed by Pierre Coffin and starring Allison Janney, Christoph Waltz, Jeff Bridges, Jesse Eisenberg, Zoey Deutch,Trey Parker, Phil LaMarr and Bobby Moynihan. The film’s original music is composed by John Powell (How to Train Your Dragon, Wicked, Shrek, The Bourne Identity, Solo: A Star Wars Story, Happy Feet, Bolt, Don’t Worry Darling, Migration, X-Men: The Last Stand). Back Lot Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score on Wednesday and Music On Vinyl will release a CD and vinyl edition in the coming months. Kevin Kiner (Ahsoka, Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Rebels & The Bad Batch, Narcos: Mexico, Doom Patrol, Peacemaker, CSI: Miami, Making a Murderer), Sean Kiner & Deana Kiner (Star Wars: Maul – Shadow Lord & Tales of the Underworld, House of David, Dark Winds). have composed the film’s original music. Sony Classical is releasing a soundtrack album featuring the composers’ score on July 4th. Opening in select theaters this weekend is the supernatural horror thriller Lockbox directed by Daniel Stamm and starring Carla Gugino, Lou Taylor Pucci and Katharine Isabella. The film’s original music is composed by Matthew Rogers (WorldBreaker, Family Law, Volition, Blood, Vindicta, Adventures in Public School, The Stranger in My Home, My Secret Santa, Darc, The Unspoken) .
