Intrada Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the 1994 family adventure Iron Will directed by Charles Haid and starring Mackenzie Astin, Kevin Spacey, David Ogden Stiers, George Gerdes, Brian Cox, Penelope Windust and August Schellenberg. The album features the expanded original score from the Walt Disney Pictures production composed and conducted by Joel McNeely (A Million Ways to Die in the West, The Orville, Holes, Young Indiana Jones Chronicles), including almost 40 minutes of previously unreleased music. 4AD has released a soundtrack album for Boots Riley’s comedy Sorry to Bother You. The album features the film’s original score composed by Tune-Yards. The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. Interscope Records has previously released a separate soundtrack featuring the songs from the movie by The Coup last summer. Sorry to Bother You is written and directed by Riley and stars Lakeith Stanfield, Tessa Thompson, Armie Hammer, Omari Hardwick, Terry Crews, Steven Yeun, Jermaine Fowler and Danny Glover. The album features the film’s original music composed by Alexander Bornstein (Paradox, The Last Heist, Black Site Delta). The soundtrack will be released digitally and physically on June 7, 2019. ABKCO Records has released a soundtrack album for The Durrells. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Ruth Barrett (Bodyguard, Harry Brown, Collateral, Victoria) & Jon Wygens (Flying Blind). The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. The label has previously released Barrett’s theme song from the series. The Durrells is created by Simon Nye and stars Keeley Hawes, Josh O’Connor, Callum Woodhouse, Daisy Waterstone and Milo Parker. The drama is based on Gerald Durrell’s memoirs and tell the story of a woman who makes a radical change and uproots her four unruly children from Bournemouth, England to start a new life in Corfu in the 1930s. Premiering tomorrow, April 22, is the HBO and BBC series Gentleman Jack created by Sally Wainwright and starring Suranne Jones, Sophie Rundle, Gemma Whelan, Timothy West, Jeremy Lister and Gemma Jones. The show’s original music is composed by Murray Gold (Doctor Who, Torchwood, Death at a Funeral, A Very English Scandal). This past week, Gregoire Hetzel (Incendies, Summertime, The Midwife) has recorded his music for the upcoming French thriller Oh Mercy! (Roubaix, une lumière). The film is written and directed by Arnaud Desplechin (Esther Khan, Jimmy P.) and stars Roschdy Zem, Antoine Reinartz, Léa Seydoux and Sara Forestier. ‘Hostile Planet’ Vol. 2 Soundtrack Album Released

Milan Records has released the second soundtrack album for the National Geographic docu-series Hostile Planet. The album features more music from the show composed by Benjamin Wallfisch (It, Shazam!, Blade Runner 2049, Hidden Figures, Hellboy). The Vol. 2 album, entitled Jungles and Grasslands, is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. The first album (Mountains and Oceans) was released earlier this month and a third album (Deserts and Polar) will be coming out next month. Hostile Planet hosted by Bear Grylls and executive produced by Guillermo Navarro looks at animals surviving at the extremes of different environments, in mountains, oceans, grasslands, jungles, deserts, and polar regions. Three new movies are opening in theaters nationwide this week:
Opening in most theaters is the horror thriller The Curse of La Llorona directed by Michael Chaves and starring Linda Cardellini, Patricia Velasquez and Raymond Cruz. The film’s original music is composed by Joseph Bishara (The Conjuring, Annabelle, Insidious, The Prodigy). WaterTower Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score last week. Already playing in theaters since Wednesday is the faith-based drama Breakthrough directed by Roxann Dawson and starring Chrissy Metz, Josh Lucas, Topher Grace, Mike Colter, Sam Trammell, Marcel Ruiz and Dennis Haysbert. Marcelo Zarvos (Fences, Wonder, The Affair, The Good Shepherd) has composed the film’s original score.
