Milan Records has released a soundtrack album for the French historical biographical drama De Gaulle: The Sovereign Edge (La Bataille de Gaulle – J’écris ton nom). The album features the film’s original music composed by Théo Cascio. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon (and any other major digital music services), where you can also check out the track list. The label has previously released an album featuring Volker Bertelmann’s music from the first part (De Gaulle: Tilting Iron) of the 2-part movie earlier this month. De Gaulle: The Sovereign Edge is directed by Antonin Baudry and stars Simon Abkarian, Simon Russell Beale, Florian Lesieur, Loïc Corbery, Mathieu Kassovitz, Anamaria Vartolomei, Benoît Magimel, Niels Schneider and Félix Kysyl Florian.The drama, which chronicles the rise of French army officer Charles de Gaulle, just opened in French theaters this past weekend. No word yet on a domestic release.
