Premiering tonight is sci-fi drama Star Trek: Discovery developed by Alex Kurtzman & Bryan Fuller and starring Sonequa Martin-Green, Jason Isaacs, Doug Jones, James Frain, Michelle Yeoh and Anthony Rapp. The show’s original music is composed by Jeff Russo (Fargo, Legion, The Night Of, Snowfall, Power). The series is premiering on CBS tonight and the rest of the episodes will be available to stream on CBS All Access.
Premiering tomorrow, September 25, is the NBC drama The Brave created by Dean Georgaris and starring Anne Heche, Mike Vogel, Sofia Pernas, Tate Ellington, Natacha Karam, Demetrius Grosse, Noah Mills and Hadi Tabbal. Toby Chu (Covert Affairs, Burn Notice, Beyond, Unforgettable, Legends of Oz: Dorothy’s Return) is composing the show’s original music. Producer Jeph Loeb announced at Comic-Con today that Sean Callery is scoring Marvel’s upcoming TV series Inhumans and is recording his music for the project with a 70-piece orchestra. The show developed by Scott Buck (Dexter, Iron Fist) based on the comic book series of the same title stars Anson Mount, Iwan Rheon, Serinda Swan, Eme Ikwuakor, Isabelle Cornish, Ken Leung, Ellen Woglom, Sonya Balmores and Mike Moh. The show explores the adventure of the royal family including Black Bolt, the enigmatic, commanding King of the Inhumans, with a voice so powerful that the slightest whisper can destroy a city. Buck is also executive producing the Marvel Television and ABC Studios production with Loeb & Jim Chory (Daredevil, Luke Cage, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.). 
The line-up for two film music-related panels at Comic-Con 2017 has been announced. On Friday, July 21, a number of film/Tv composers will participate in the 9th annual Behind the Music panel presented by CW3PR and Impact24 PR. Jeff Russo (Legion, Fargo), Sean Callery (Jessica Jones, 24), Kris Bowers (Dear White People), Mac Quayle (Mr. Robot, American Horror Story), Siddhartha Khosla (This Is Us, Runaways) and Blake Neely (The Flash, Arrow, Supergirl, Riverdale) will be participating in a discussion moderated by actors Rachel Keller (Legion, Fargo) & Jeremie Harris (Legion,The Get Down). The composers will give insight on how they contribute to many of the most popular fantasy/fiction titles in the TV and film worlds. 
This coming Thursday, June 29, the Television Academy will be hosting a concert celebrating music written for television. Words + Music will feature the live performance of original songs and scores from the composers of top shows from the past TV season. Participating composers include Mac Quayle (Mr. Robot), Siddhartha Khosla (This Is Us), Jeff Russo (Fargo, The Night Of), Sean Callery (Homeland), Nathan Barr (The Americans) and Pedro Bromfman (Narcos).
