MovieScore Media has released a soundtrack album for the British thriller Betrayal. The album features the film’s original music composed by Max Aruj (The Ice Road, The Tank) & Steffen Thum (Slingshot, Stockholm Bloodbath) who previously co-scored Crawl, iBoy, among other titles. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Also listen to the composers’ title track after the jump. Betrayal is co-written and directed by Rodger Griffiths and stars Paul Higgins, Brian Vernel, Daniel Portman, Calum Ross, James Harkness, Anita Vettesse and Joanne Thomson. The movie revolves around three brothers who revisit the woods where they buried their abusive father and start to question each other’s loyalty when they find his grave empty.

MoviePass, MovieCrash is directed by Muta’Ali and chronicles the titular company’s beginnings as an innovative movie ticketing model, exploring the visionary mission of its co-founders, its early successes, and its precipitous downfall caused by mismanagement.

Premiering on Wednesday, May 29, is the Hulu documentary series Camden directed by Asif Kapadia and executive produced by Dua Lipa, Dukagjin Lipa, Simon Chinn, Jonathan Chinn, Suzanne Lavery, Nick Shymansky, Jasper Waller-Bridge and Ben Friedman. The show’s original score is composed by Toydrum (Slow Horses, Detour, Prevenge, Three Pines, Platform 7, The Banishing, Future World, Sweetheart). The Lightbox production, which reveals the untold stories of how the lives and careers of some of the world’s most iconic artists were influenced by this corner of London, is premiering in the U.S. on Hulu and in most international markets on Disney+.

Max Aruj Scoring Muta’Ali’s ‘MoviePass, MovieCrash’
Max Aruj (Crawl, The Ice Road, The Tank, iBoy, Mech Cadets, Lansky) is the composer of the upcoming documentary MoviePass, MovieCrash. The film is directed by Muta’Ali (Cassius X: Becoming Ali) and chronicles the origin story, meteoric rise and implosion of the titular theatrical movie subscription app as told through the eyes of the visionary co-founders. The movie details the challenges they faced in building the pop culture phenomenon, only to eventually find themselves cast aside as new executives seized control and havoc ensued.
‘Mech Cadets’ Soundtrack Album Details
Netflix Music will release a soundtrack album for the streamer’s original animated series Mech Cadets. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Max Aruj (Crawl, The Ice Road, iBoy, The Tank, Lansky). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, August 10 and will be available to stream/download on all major digital music services, including Amazon. Three first tracks have already been released as a digital single last week. Mech Cadets is based on the Mech Cadet Yu graphic novels created by Greg Pak & Takeshi Miyazawa and features the voices of Brandon Soo Hoo, Aparna Brielle, Victoria Grace, Daniel Dae Kim, Anairis Quiñones, Robbie Daymond, Josh Sundquist and Ming-Na Wen. The animated sci-fi action series tells the story of an underdog teen who joins a group of young Cadets who’ve been chosen to bond with Robo Mechs from space and defend Earth against alien invaders.

Premiering tonight is the second season of the HBO original series Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty created by Max Borenstein & Jim Hecht and starring John C. Reilly, Quincy Isaiah, Jason Clarke, Adrien Brody, Gaby Hoffmann, Hadley Robinson, Jason Segel, Michael Chiklis and Rob Morgan. Jeff Beal (House of Cards, Rome, Monk, Carnivale, Pollock) has joined Robert Glasper (who shared scoring credit on Season 1 with Nicholas Britell) to co-score the new season. The drama will air Sunday nights on HBO and will also be available to stream on Max.
Premiering on Wednesday, August 9, is the Apple TV+ original animated series Strange Planet created by Dan Harmon & Nathan W. Pyle and starring Tunde Adebimpe, Demi Adejuyigbe, Danny Pudi, Lori Tan Chinn and Hannah Einbinder. Isabella Summers (Little Fires Everywhere, Lady Chatterley’s Lover, The Offer, Physical, Sex/Life, Call Jane) has composed the show’s original music. ‘The Tank’ Soundtrack Album Released
Max Aruj (Crawl, The Ice Road, iBoy, Lansky) has released a soundtrack album for the horror thriller The Tank. The album features the film’s original music composed by Aruj and produced by Lorne Balfe (Mission: Impossible – Fallout, Black Widow, His Dark Materials, Top Gun: Maverick). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. The Tank is directed by Scott Walker and stars Luciane Buchanan, Matthew Whelan, Regina Hegemann and Zara Nausbaum. The movie follows a man and his family who – after mysteriously inheriting an abandoned coastal property – accidentally unleash an ancient creature that terrorized the entire region for generations.

Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the supernatural horror movie Evil Dead Rise written and directed by Lee Cronin and starring Lily Sullivan, Alyssa Sutherland, Morgan Davies, Gabrielle Echols and Nell Fisher. Max Aruj & Ruth Barrett to Score Victoria Mahoney’s ‘The Old Guard 2’
Max Aruj (Crawl, The Ice Road, Lansky, iBoy) & Ruth Barrett (Bodyguard, Victoria, Sanditon, The Terminal List) have been hired to score the upcoming Netflix original film The Old Guard 2. The movie is directed by Victoria Mahoney (Lovecraft Country, The Red Line) and stars Charlize Theron, KiKi Layne, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Marwan Kenzari, Matthias Schoenaerts, Luca Marinelli and Veronica Ngô who reprise their roles from the Dustin O’Halloran- & Volker Bertelmann-scored original 2020 film. They are joined by new cast members Henry Golding and Uma Thurman.
