The details of the soundtrack album for the horror sequel The Woman in Black 2: Angel of Death have been revealed. The album features the film’s original music composed by Marco Beltrami (Scream, The Wolverine, World War Z, Live Free or Die Hard), Marcus Trumpp and Brandon Roberts. The soundtrack will be released on January 6, 2015 by Varese Sarabande and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The Woman in Black 2: Angel of Death is directed by Tom Harper and stars Jeremy Irvine, Helen McCrory, Phoebe Cox and Oaklee Pendergast. The movie takes place in the same house as the original 40 years later, when a group of children who are evacuated from London during World War II come to stay and awaken the house’s darkest inhabitants.

Opening in most theaters is the comedy sequel Dumb and Dumber To directed by Peter & Bobby Farrelly and starring Jim Carrey, Jeff Daniels, Kathleen Turner, Laurie Holden, Rob Riggle, Rachel Melvin and Steve Tom. The film’s original music is composed by the electronic music duo Empire of the Sun. WaterTower Music has released a soundtrack album featuring music from the duo, as well as songs by Eels, Natural Child, Lissie, Firefall, Franz Ferdinand, Jake Bugg, The Dahls and more. Also opening wide is the drama Beyond the Lights written and directed by Gina Prince-Bythewood and starring Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Nate Parker, Minnie Driver, Richard Colson Baker (“MGK”) and Danny Glover. Relativity Music Group has released a soundtrack album featuring the original song Grateful written by Academy Award-nominated songwriter Dianne Warren and performed by Rita Ora, as well as songs by artists including Mavado feat. Marco Beltrami to Score ‘Hitman: Agent 47’ and Pierre Morel’s ‘The Gunman’
Marco Beltrami revealed in a recent interview with Soundworks Collection that he is composing the music for the upcoming action thriller Hitman: Agent 47. The film is directed by Aleksander Bach and stars Rupert Friend, Hannah Ware, Zachary Quinto and Thomas Kretschmann. The movie is based on the bestselling Hitman video game and follows a young woman who teams up with Agent 47 in order to find her father and her true ancestry. Kyle Ward (Machete Kills), Skip Woods (X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Swordfish) and Michael Finch (Predators, The November Man) have written the screenplay. Alex Young (The A-Team, Unstoppable), Chuck Gordon (Die Hard 2, Waterworld, The Rocketeer) and Adrian Askarieh (Hitman) are producing the project.
‘The Homesman’ Soundtrack Details
Varese Sarabande has announced the details of the soundtrack album for Tommy Lee Jones’ drama The Homesman. The album features the film’s music written by Academy Award-nominated composer Marco Beltrami (3:10 to Yuma, The Hurt Locker, Scream, World War Z). The soundtrack will be released physically on December 9, 2014 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The Homesman is based on the novel by James Swarthout and stars Tommy Lee Jones, Hilary Swank, Grace Gummer, Miranda Otto, Sonja Richter, David Dencik, William Fichtner, John Lithgow, Brian Kennedy, Tim Blake Nelson, Jesse Plemons, James Spader, Hailee Steinfeld and Meryl Streep.

Lionsgate Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score earlier this werk and La-La Land Records will release a CD version later this month. The soundtrack will be released physically on September 9, 2014 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The movie follows an ex-CIA operative who is pitted against his former pupil on a race to find a woman who is hiding from her past and who holds the key to an international conspiracy.

Sony Classical will release a score album for the sci-fi drama The Giver. The album features the film’s original music composed by Marco Beltrami (Scream, World War Z, The Wolverine, 3:10 to Yuma). The soundtrack will be released digitally on August 12, 2014 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. A physical version is set to come out on September 9 (click here to pre-order the CD). Marco Beltrami to Score ‘True Story’
Marco Beltrami has signed on to score the upcoming drama True Story. The film is directed by Rupert Goold and stars Jonah Hill, James Franco, Felicity Jones, Ethan Suplee and Gretchen Mol. The movie is based on journalist Michael Finkel’s memoirs about the relationship between Finkel and Christian Longo, a Most Wanted List murderer who for years lived outside the U.S. under Finkel’s name. David Kajganich (The Invasion) has written the screenplay. Brad Pitt, Dede Gardner & Jeremy Kleiner (12 Years a Slave, The Tree of Life, Killing Them Softly) are producing the Plan B Entertainment and New Regency Pictures production.
