Marco Beltrami (Logan, A Quiet Place, Scream, 3:10 to Yuma) and Anna Drubich are teaming up to score the upcoming horror thriller Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark. The film is directed by André Ovredal (The Autopsy of Jane Doe, Trollhunter) and stars Zoe Colletti, Michael Garza, Gabriel Rush, Austin Abrams, Dean Norris, Gil Bellows, Lorraine Toussaint, Austin Zajur and Natalie Ganzhorn. The movie is based on Alvin Schwartz’ bestselling trilogy of books and follows a group of teens who must solve the mystery surrounding a wave of spectacularly horrific deaths in their small town.

Premiering tonight in the U.S. is the British mini-series Mrs. Wilson developed by Anna Symon, directed by Richard Laxton and starring Ruth Wilson, Iain Glenn, Keely Hawes, Anupam Kher and Fiona Shaw. The show’s original music is composed by Anne Nikitin (American Animals, Calibre, This Beautiful Fantastic, The Imposter). Marco Beltrami to Score Ang Lee’s ‘Gemini Man’
Marco Beltrami (Logan, A Quiet Place, 3:10 to Yuma, Scream, Free Solo) has signed on to score the upcoming sci-fi action thriller Gemini Man. The film is directed by Ang Lee (Life of Pi, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, Hulk) and stars Will Smith, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Clive Owen and Benedict Wong. The movie follows an elite assassin who is suddenly targeted and pursued by a mysterious young operative that seemingly can predict his every move.
Marco Beltrami & Brandon Roberts Scoring CBS All Access’ ‘The Twilight Zone’
Marco Beltrami (A Quiet Place, Scream, 3:10 to Yuma, World War Z) & Brandon Roberts (TURN: Washington’s Spies, The Woman in Black 2, Unbroken: Path to Redemption) are co-scoring the upcoming CBS All Access anthology series The Twilight Zone. The show based on the 1959 classic TV series of the same title created by Rod Sterling is hosted and narrated by Jordan Peele. Opening in limited release this week is the survival drama Arctic co-written and directed by Joe Penna and starring Mads Mikkelsen. Marco Beltrami to Score James Mangold’s ‘Ford v. Ferrari’
Marco Beltrami revealed in a recent interview with Next Best Picture that he is currently scoring the upcoming biographical drama Ford v. Ferrari. The film is directed by James Mangold (Walk the Line, Girl, Interrupted, Cop Land) and stars Matt Damon, Christian Bale, Jon Bernthal, Tracy Letts, Caitriona Balfe, Josh Lucas, Noah Jupe, Paul Sparks and Jack McMullen. The movie follows an eccentric, determined team of American engineers and designers, led by automotive visionary Carroll Shelby and his British driver, Ken Miles, who are dispatched by Henry Ford II and Iacocca with the mission of building a new automobile with the potential to defeat the dominant Ferrari at the 1966 Le Mans World Championship in France.
‘The Emperor of Paris’ Soundtrack Details
Gaumont will release the official soundtrack album for the French historical crime thriller The Emperor of Paris (L’Empereur de Paris). The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award nominee Marco Beltrami (3:10 to Yuma, A Quiet Place, Logan, Scream, The Hurt Locker) and Marcus Trumpp (The Woman in Black 2: Angel of Death, Mesrine, Little Evil). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, December 14 and will be available to download on Amazon. A physical version is also in the work. The Emperor of Paris is directed by Jean-François Richet and stars Vincent Cassel, Olga Kurylenko, August Dhiel, Freya Mavor, Denis Menochet and James Thierée. The movie tells the story of Francois Vidocq, a real-life ex-convict who became a police detective during Napoleon’s reign.

Marco Beltrami is composing the original score for the upcoming horror thriller Velvet Buzzsaw. The film is written and directed by Dan Gilroy and stars Jake Gyllenhaal, Rene Russo, Zawe Ashton, Natalia Dyer, Tom Sturridge, Daveed Diggs, Toni Collette, John Malkovich and Billy Magnussen. The movie follows a group of big-money artists and mega-collectors who pay a high price when art collides with commerce. Jennifer Fox (Michael Clayton, The Informant!, We Need to Talk About Kevin) is producing the project.
Soundtrack Album for National Geographic’s ‘Free Solo’ to Be Released
Node Records will release a soundtrack album for the National Geographic documentary Free Solo. The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award nominee Marco Beltrami (Logan, Scream, 3:10 to Yuma, The Hurt Locker, World War Z). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, November 9 and will be available to download on Amazon. Free Solo is directed by Elizabeth Chai Vasarhelyi & Jimmy Chin and follows solo climber Alex Honnold, as he prepares to achieve his lifelong dream: scaling the face of the world’s most famous rock – the 3,200-foot El Capitan in Yosemite National Park – without a rope.

The film is directed by Jonathan Levine (50/50, The Wackness) and stars Seth Rogen, Charlize Theron, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Alexander Skarsgård, Randall Park, Bob Odenkirk and Andy Serkis. The movie follows a down on his luck journalist, who through a string of comedic circumstances catches the attention of the world’s most powerful woman and becomes an important part of her inner circle in her journey to become the first female president of the United States.
