WaterTower Music has announced a soundtrack album for the crime drama Motherless Brooklyn. The album features the original song Daily Battles written by Radiohead’s Thom Yorke and performed by himself and his Atoms For Peace bandmate Flea (Red Hot Chili Peppers), as well as a second version of the song arranged and performed by Wynton Marsalis. Both version are now available to stream and download. Also included on the album are tracks performed by Marsalis, Joe Farnsworth, Russell Hall, Isaiah J. Thompson & Jerry Weldon, as well as the Motherless Brooklyn Theme performed by Marsalis, Willie Jones III, Philip Norris, Isaiah J. Thompson, Ted Nash & the film’s composer Daniel Pemberton (Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, Steve Jobs).

Weekly Film Music Roundup (May 3, 2019)
Three new movies are opening in theaters nationwide this weekend:
Opening in most theaters is the animated feature UglyDolls directed by Kelly Asbury and starring Kelly Clarkson, Nick Jonas, Blake Shelton, Janelle Monae, Wanda Sykes, Emma Roberts, Gabriel Iglesias, Wang Leehom and Pitbull. The film’s original score is composed by Christopher Lennertz (Lost in Space, Horrible Bosses, Sausage Party) who also co-wrote most of the film’s original songs with Glenn Slater (Tangled, Galavant). Also opening wide is the romantic comedy Long Shot directed by Jonathan Levine and starring Seth Rogen, Charlize Theron, Andy Serkis, June Diane Raphael, Ravi Patel, Bob Odenkirk and Alexander Skarsgård. Marco Beltrami (Logan, A Quiet Place, Scream, World War Z, 3:10 to Yuma) & Miles Hankins (The Night Before, Len and Company) have composed the film’s original score. ‘Bolden’ Soundtrack Album Announced
Blue Engine Records has announced a soundtrack album for the biographical drama Bolden. The album features original music from the film written, arranged and performed by Wynton Marsalis. The soundtrack will be released digitally and physically on April 19, 2019 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Bolden is directed by Dan Pritzker and stars Gary Carr in the title role, alongside Erik LaRay Harvey, Yaya DaCosta, Ian McShane and Michael Rooker. The movie, which was scored by Mark Isham & Scott Steiner, tells the story of Buddy Bolden, a New Orleans cornet player who was a key figure in the development of ragtime music.
