Brian Tyler (Iron Man 3, Fast & Furious, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Now You See Me, Crazy Rich Asians) has been tapped to score the upcoming slasher movie Scream. The fifth installment in the horror franchise is directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin & Tyler Gillett and stars Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, David Arquette and Marley Shelton who reprrise their roles from the first four movies. They are joined by new cast members Melissa Barrera, Jack Quaid, Dylan Minnette, Jenna Ortega, Mason Gooding, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Mikey Madison, Sonia Ben Ammar and Kyle Gallner. Burning Witches Records will release a soundtrack album for the horror thriller Lucky. The album features the film’s original music composed by Jeremy Zuckerman (Avatar: The Last Airbender, The Legend of Korra, Scream: The TV Series, Horse Girl). The soundtrack will be released digitally on May 21 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. A vinyl edition is also in the works. Lucky is directed by Natasha Kermani and stars Brea Grant (who also wrote the screenplay), Hunter C Smith, Kristina Klebe, Kausar Mohammed, Yasmine Al-Bustami, Dhruv Uday Singh and Leith M. Burke. The movie will offer private insights into Rihanna’s personality, sense of humor, work ethic, family and love. Music Box Records has announced a new soundtrack album and premiere CD release for the 1986 French comedy Family Council (Conseil de famille) directed by Costa-Gavras and starring Johnny Hallyday, Fanny Ardant and Guy Marchand. The album features the expanded and remastered original music from the film composed and conducted by Georges Delerue (Platoon, Twins, Steel Magnolias, Joe Versus the Volcano, Beaches). Also included is the composer’s score for the 1977 French thriller Focal Point (Le point de mire) directed by Jean-Claude Tramont and starring Annie Girardot and Jacques Dutronc. The CD, which is limited to 1,000 copies, is now available to order on the label’s official website, where you can also check out the full track list and find out more details about the release.

La-La Land Records has announced the third volume in the label’s Goldsmith at 20th series. The album features two classic scores from 20th Century Fox productions composed by Academy Award winner Jerry Goldsmith (The Omen, Star Trek: The Motion Picture, Chinatown, Planet of the Apes, Patton, Poltergeist): The Stripper directed by Franklin J. Schaffner and starring Joanne Woodward, Richard Beymer, Claire Trevor & Carol Lynley and 1974’s S*P*Y*S directed by Irvin Kershner and starring Elliott Gould & Donald Sutherland. The latter score is expanded with previously unreleased material. Also included as a bonus track is the premiere release of Goldsmith’s cue Pacer’s Farewell from the 1960 western Flaming Star starring Elvis Presley.
