Adam Egypt Mortimer’s ‘Pathetic Fallacy’ to Feature Original Score by Johnny Jewel and Songs by Kid Cudi
Johnny Jewel (Bronson, Lost River, Don’t Come Back from the Moon, Holly, Those Who Kill) has been hired to score the upcoming indie supernatural thriller Pathetic Fallacy. The film is directed by Adam Egypt Mortimer (Daniel Isn’t Real, Archenemy) and stars Scott “Kid Cudi” Mescudi, Jessica Rothe, Travis Fimmel and Natasha Lyonne. Cudi is also contributing original songs to the movie, which follows a young widower who travels to a new-age mountain town in search of cosmic answers, but instead finds an outlandish murderer and a forest of demonic spirits who offer a horrific bargain: the power to cheat death at a nightmarish cost.
Kid Cudi to Make Feature Directorial Debut and Write Original Songs for ‘Doe’
Scott “Kid Cudi” Mescudi is making his feature directorial debut on the upcoming drama Doe. He also wrote the screenplay and is contributing original songs to the film starring himself in the title role, Mark Webber, Leah McNamara, Brandon Scott and Brandon Perea. The movie takes place over the course of 24 hours and follows a man living on the streets of Hollywood as he drifts through a series of encounters that pull him in and out of the cycles of his compulsion.
Kid Cudi to Score Jeron Braxton’s ‘Slime’
Scott “Kid Cudi” Mescudi is set to score the upcoming animated feature Slime. The film is directed by Jeron Braxton and features the voices of Mescudi himself, Willow Smith, Teyana Taylor, Anna Sawai, John Cho and John Boyega. The movie is set in a too-near future and follows a broke but optimistic young woman who signs up for a paid clinical trial, only to be injected with a mysterious creature’s slime that unleashes destructive powers she can’t control.
‘Entergalactic’ Soundtrack Album Details
Republic Records will release the official soundtrack album for the Netflix animated special Entergalactic. The album features the original songs from the project by Kid Cudi who also co-created the series and stars in the lead role of Jabari. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, September 30 and will be available to stream/download here. Entergalactic is created by Kid Cudi & Kenya Barris and also stars Jessica Williams, Laura Harrier, Timothée Chalamet, Ty Dolla $ign, Vanessa Hudgens, Christopher Abbott, Keith David, Jaden Smith, Arturo Castro, 070 Shake, Macaulay Culkin, Francesca Reale, Maisha Mescudi, Kerwin Frost, Teyana Taylor and Luis Guzmán.
