Scott “Kid Cudi” Mescudi is set to score the upcoming horror thriller Wrong Number. The film marks the rapper/singer/songwriter/music producer and actor’s second directorial feature (following the upcoming drama Doe) and stars Mescudi himself, Barbie Ferreria, Lucy Barrett, Dewayne Perkins, Clifton Powell and Laura Harrier The movie follows a lonely self-help author whose unexpected romance with a mysterious woman turns into a waking nightmare when he becomes the target of an unseen stalker and the prime suspect in a string of murders. Mescudi also wrote the screenplay and serves as an executive producer. Actor/writer/director Mark Webber (The End of Love, The Ever After) is producing the project with Anthony Baldino and Ryan Lacen (All the World Is Sleeping, Don’t Talk to Strangers). Wrong Number is currently in production in Los Angeles. Both Wrong Number and Doe (which also features original music by Mesudi) are expected to be released in 2027. (Deadline)
