Universal-Island Records has released a soundtrack album for the Apple TV+ docu-series 1971: The Year That Music Changed Everything. The album features a selection of songs from the show by artists including John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, Elton John, The Rolling Stones, Marvin Gaye, Cat Stevens, The Who, Rod Stewart, Stevie Wonder, Leon Russell, Diana Ross, The Beach Boys & others. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download here. Milan Records will release a soundtrack album for the Netflix anime series Eden. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Kevin Penkin (Tower of God, Made in Abyss, The Rising of the Shield Hero). The soundtrack will be released digitally next Friday, May 28 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. A first track (Penrose Steps, A.I. Bloom) is already being released today and can be checked out after the jump. Eden is created by Justin Leach and features the voices of Ruby Rose Turner, David Tennant, Rosario Dawson, JP Karliak, Neil Patrick Harris, Cassandra Lee Morris and Julie Nathanson. Back Lot Music has released a soundtrack EP for the Channel 4 & Peacock original series We Are Lady Parts. The EP features six songs from the show performed by the titular band Lady Parts, including four original tracks written by show creator Nida Manzoor, Shez Manzoor, Sanya Manzoor and Benjamin Fregin, as well the cover versions of Dolly Parton’s 9 to 5 and Queens’ We Are the Champions. Geffen Records will release a new soundtrack album for Cameron Crowe’s 2000 drama Almost Famous starring Kate Hudson, Billy Crudup, Frances McDormand, Jason Lee, Patrick Fugit, Anna Paquin, Fairuza Balk, Noah Taylor and Philip Seymour Hoffman. The album features almost every song from the movie, including several previously unreleased tracks such as all the Stillwater songs written by Crowe, Nancy Wilson (Jerry Maguire, Vanilla Sky, Elizabethtown) and Peter Frampton. Also included is the first-ever release of Wilson’s original score from the movie. Hollywood Records & Marvel Music will release a soundtrack album for the Hulu original series Marvel’s M.O.D.O.K.. The album features selections of the show’s original score composed by Daniel Rojas (Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts). Also included is Aimee Mann’s cover of Never Let You Go (recorded for the series), as well as songs performed by Patton Oswalt (who stars as the title character) and Bill Hader. The soundtrack will be released this Friday, May 21 and will be available to stream/download on all major digital music platforms, including Amazon. Marvel’s M.O.D.O.K. is created by Oswalt & Jordan Blum and also features the voices of Melissa Fumero, Aimee Garcia, Ben Schwartz, Wendi McLendon-Covey, Beck Bennett, Sam Richardson and Jon Daly, as well as guests stars such as Jon Hamm, Whoopi Goldberg and Nathan Fillion. The full details of the soundtrack album for Disney’s live-action feature Cruella have been revealed. The album features the songs from the movie by artists such as Supertramp, Bee Gees, The Doors, Ike & Tina Turner, Blondie, The Clash, Queen, Nina Simone, Electric Light Orchestra & others. Also included is the original song Call me Cruella performed by Florence + the Machine. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, May 21 by Walt Disney Records and will be available to stream/download here. A CD version is scheduled to come out overseas on May 28. As previously reported, the label will also release a separate soundtrack featuring Nicholas Britell’s score and Call me Cruella on the same day.
