‘Zone 414’ Soundtrack Album Released

Atlantic Screen Music/Filmtrax has released a soundtrack album for the sci-fi thriller Zone 414. The album features the film’s original music composed by Raffertie (aka Benjamin Stefanski) (White Dragon, Alex Rider). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download here, where you can also check out audio samples. Zone 414 is directed by Andrew Baird and stars Guy Pearce, Matilda Lutz, Jonathan Aris and Travis Fimmel. eOne Music has released the original song Glowin’ Up from the Netflix animated film My Little Pony: A New Generation. The track is written by Jenna Andrews, Frequency (aka Bryan Fryzel) & Taylor Upsahl and performed by Sofia Carson (who lends her voice to the character of Pipp Petals) and is now available to stream/download on Amazon (and any other major digital music stores). ‘Worth’ Soundtrack to Be Released

Filmtrax/Atlantic Screen Music will release a soundtrack album for the drama Worth. The album features the film’s original music composed by Nico Muhly (The Reader, MargaretKill Your Darlings, Joshua, Howards End, How to Talk to Girls at Parties). The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, September 3 and will be available to stream/download on all major digital music platforms, including Amazon. Worth is  directed by Sara Colangelo and stars Michael Keaton, Stanley Tucci, Amy Ryan, Ato Blankson-Wood, Shunori Ramanathan, Tate Donovan, Laura Benanti and Chris Tardio. The movie is based on Kenneth Feinberg’s memoir What Is Life Worth and follows an attorney who learns a lesson in empathy when he is faced with the task of determining how to compensate families who suffered incalculable losses as a result of the 9/11 attacks. WaterTower Music will release the official soundtrack album for James Wan’s horror movie Malignant. The album features the film’s original music composed by Joseph Bishara (The Conjuring, Insidious, Annabelle, The Curse of La Llorona, The Unholy). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, September 3 and will be available to stream/download here. Malignant is directed by James Wan and stars Annabelle Wallis, Maddie Hasson, George Young, Michole Briana White, Jacqueline McKenzie, Jake Abel and Ingrid Bisu. The New Line Cinema and Atomic Monsters production follows a woman who is paralyzed by shocking visions of grisly murders and discovers that these waking dreams are in fact terrifying realities. Mikis Theodorakis (1925 – 2021)

Mikis Theodorakis has passed away today at age 96 at his home in Athens. The Greek composer was known for writing numerous film scores for such titles as Michael Cacoyannis’ Zorba the Greek (1964), Costa-Gavras’ Z (1969) and Sidney Lumet’s Serpico (1973). His other film scoring credits include Etat de Siège, The Trojan Women, The Day the Fish Came Out and Iphegenia in Aulis. Throughout his career, he also wrote several ballets, operas and symphonies. Theodoreakis was also politically active and, during the 60s and 80s, was a Member of Parliament and a minister and received several peace prizes. Read the rest of this entry »

The full details of the fourth soundtrack album for Marvel Studios’ Disney+ animated series What If…? have been revealed. The album features the original score from the fourth episode (What If… Doctor Strange Lost His Heart Instead of His Hands?) of the show composed by Laura Karpman (Lovecraft Country, Why We Hate, Underground, Set It Up, Black Nativity, Paris Can Wait). The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, September 3 by Marvel Music & Hollywood Records (click here to stream/download). The composer’s scores from Episode 1, Episode 2 and Episode 3 have been released last month and more soundtracks will be coming out over the next couple of weeks. Episode 4 of What If…? is written by A.C. Sony Classical will release a second soundtrack album for the musical comedy Cinderella. The album features the film’s original score composed by Academy Award winner Mychael Danna (Life of Pi, Moneyball, Capote, Onward, The Good Dinosaur, Girl, Interrupted, Little Miss Sunshine) and Jessica Rose Weiss (Dog Gone Trouble, Afterlife of the Party, Friendsgiving). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, September 3. Visit Amazon or any other major digital music services to stream/download the album. As previously reported, Epic Records will release a separate soundtrack featuring the songs from the movie, as well as a score suite. The details of the first soundtrack album for Denis Villeneuve’s Dune have been revealed. The album features extended, immersive musical explorations of the film score composed by Academy Award winner Hans Zimmer (Gladiator, The Dark Knight, The Lion King, Pirates of the Caribbean, Inception, Interstellar, Rain Man, Man of Steel). The Dune Sketchbook will be released in both Standard and Dolby Atmos Music configurations tomorrow, September 3. by WaterTower Music and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and other digital music stores. As previously reported, another album featuring Zimmer’s score from the film will be coming out on September 17 and a soundtrack for  The Art and Soul of Dune, the companion soundtrack to the book of the same title, will be released on October 22. Hannah Parrott (Head Count, When Jeff Tried to Save the World, Golden Arm, Mountain Men) is scoring DreamWorks Animation’s upcoming TV series The Croods: Family Tree. The show is based on The Croods feature films (scored by Alan Silvestri & Mark Mothersbaugh) and features the voice talent of Kiff Vandenheuvel, Amy Landecker, Ally Dixon, A.J. Locascio, Artemis Pebdani, Darin Brooks playing Guy, Matthew Waterson, Amy Rosoff and Kelly Marie Tran. ‘Dive Club’ Soundtrack EP Released

The Steve Jaggi Company has released a soundtrack album for the Australian TV series Dive Club. The 6-track EP features selections of the original music from the show’s first season composed by Angela Little (Never Too Late, The Clinic, Back of the Net, Swimming for Gold).
