Singer/songwriter Kevin Morby has made his film scoring debut on the upcoming drama Montana Story. The film is directed by Scott McGehee & David Siegel (What Maisie Knew, The Deep End, Bee Season) and stars Haley Lu Richardson, Owen Teague, Kimberly Guerrero, Asivak Koostachin, Gilbert Owuor and Eugene Brave Rock. The movie follows two estranged siblings as they return to the family ranch they once knew and loved to care for their ailing father and must confront together what home now means to them. Maisie Music Publishing will release a soundtrack album for the Netflix original film Afterlife of the Party. The 5-track EP features four original songs performed by Spencer Sutherland (who also stars in the movie), including a duet with lead actress Victoria Justice. Also included is a score suite by the film’s composer Jessica Rose Weiss (Cinderella, Friendsgiving, Dog Gone Trouble).
