Quartet Records has announced the premiereCD  release of the LP programs of the soundtrack albums for two Charles Dickens film adaptations from the 1970s. Titles include the 1970 drama David Copperfield directed by Delbert Mann and starring Robin Phillips, Richard Attenborough, Susan Hampshire, Cyril Cusack, Ralph Richardson, Ron Moody & Laurence Olivier featuring music composed and conducted by Academy Award winner Malcolm Arnold (The Bridge on the River Kwai, The Lion, The Sound Barrier, The Inspector, Hobson’s Choice), as well as 1974’s Great Expectations directed by Joseph Morley and starring Michael York, Sarah Miles, James Mason & Robert Morley feat. music composed and conducted by Academy Award winner Maurice Jarre (Lawrence of Arabia, Ghost, Doctor Zhivago, No Way Out, Witness, Gorillas in the Mist). The CD is now available to order on the label’s official website, where you can also check out the full album details and listen to audio samples. David Copperfield is now available on VOD and DVD and Great Expectation is available to purchase on Blu-ray & DVD and to stream on Prime Video.
