Hollywood Records will release a soundtrack for the FX limited series Under the Banner of Heaven. The album features music from and inspired by the show composed by Pearl Jam co-founder and bassist Jeff Ament, former Red Hot Chilli Peppers guitarist Josh Klinghoffer (as Pluralone), together with Fitz and the Tantrums drummer/songwriter John Wicks and Josh Evans. The soundtrack will be released digitally this June. Three first tracks from the first three episodes will be released as a digital single this Friday, May 20 and will be available to stream/download on all major digital music services, including Amazon. Under the Banner of Heaven is created by Dustin Lance Black and stars Andrew Garfield, Sam Worthington, Daisy Edgar-Jones, Wyatt Russell, Denise Gough, Gil Birmingham, Adelaide Clemens, Billy Howle, Rory Culkin, Chloe Pirrie, Seth Numrich and Sandra Seacat. The drama inspired by Jon Krakauer’s true crime bestseller centers on the investigation of the events that led to the 1984 murder of Brenda Wright Lafferty and her baby daughter in a suburb in the Salt Lake Valley, Utah. The series premiered last month and the first five episodes are now available to stream on Hulu. The final episodes will debut over the next two weeks.
