Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the biographical drama Elvis directed by Baz Luhrmann and starring Austin Butler, Tom Hanks, Olivia DeJonge, Richard Roxburgh, Luke Bracey, Kelvin Harrison Jr. and David Wenham. The film’s original score is composed by Elliott Wheeler (The Get Down, Every Day) who also serves as the project’s executive music producer. RCA Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the songs from the movie, including classic tracks by Elvis Presley, as well new tracks by Doja Cat, Swae Lee & Diplo, Eminem & CeeLo Green & others. Also opening wide is the supernatural horror thriller The Black Phone directed by Scott Derrickson and starring Mason Thames, Jeremy Davies, Madeleine McGraw, James Ransone and Ethan Hawke. Mark Korven (The Witch, Cube, The Lighthouse, The Terror: Infamy, Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City, Them) has composed the film’s original music.
