Milan Records will release the official soundtrack album for the Netflix animated film The Sea Beast. The album features the movie’s original score composed by Grammy Award winner Mark Mancina (Moana, Speed, Twister, Tarzan, Bad Boys, Brother Bear, Con Air, August Rush, Cry Macho). Also included and already available to stream/download now is the original song Captain Crow written by Nell Benjamin & Laurence O’Keefe (Legally Blonde: The Musical) and produced by Mancina. The soundtrack will be released digitally on July 8 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The Sea Beast is directed by Chris Williams and features the voices of Karl Urban, Zaris-Angel Hator, Jared Harris, Dan Stevens, Marianne Jean-Baptiste and Kathy Burke.

Weekly Film Music Roundup (June 24, 2022)
Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the biographical drama Elvis directed by Baz Luhrmann and starring Austin Butler, Tom Hanks, Olivia DeJonge, Richard Roxburgh, Luke Bracey, Kelvin Harrison Jr. and David Wenham. The film’s original score is composed by Elliott Wheeler (The Get Down, Every Day) who also serves as the project’s executive music producer. RCA Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the songs from the movie, including classic tracks by Elvis Presley, as well new tracks by Doja Cat, Swae Lee & Diplo, Eminem & CeeLo Green & others. Also opening wide is the supernatural horror thriller The Black Phone directed by Scott Derrickson and starring Mason Thames, Jeremy Davies, Madeleine McGraw, James Ransone and Ethan Hawke. Mark Korven (The Witch, Cube, The Lighthouse, The Terror: Infamy, Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City, Them) has composed the film’s original music. Mark Mancina Scoring Chris Williams’ Netflix Animated Film ‘The Sea Beast’
Mark Mancina (Twister, Speed, Bad Boys, Tarzan, August Rush, Brother Bear, Training Day) has recently started recording his score for the upcoming Netflix animated film The Sea Beast. The movie is directed by Chris Williams (Bolt, Big Hero 6) and tells the story of a legendary sea monster hunter whose life is turned upside down when a young girl stows away on his ship and befriends the most dangerous beast of them all. No voice casting announcements have been made yet. Williams also wrote the screenplay inspired by the fantastical beasts that adorned 16th and early 17th century nautical maps.
