Robin Carolan is scoring the upcoming gothic horror feature Werwulf. The film is directed by Robert Eggers (The Witch) and stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Willem Dafoe and Lily-Rose Depp. The movie is being described as a “harrowing tale of devotion, damnation and the devil within”. Eggers also co-wrote the screenplay with Sjón (Lamb). They are both also producing the project with Working Title Films’ Tim Bevan & Eric Fellner (Atonement, Les Miserables), as well as Garrett Bird. The film’s original music is composed by Claudia Sarne (Shining Girls, The Book of Eli, Dispatches from Elsewhere, Triple 9, Earthquake Bird, The Yogurt Shop Murders, Broken City). WaterTower Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score today. Back Lot Music will release the official soundtrack album for Illumination Entertainment’s feature Minions & Monsters. The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award nominee John Powell (How to Train Your Dragon, Wicked, Solo: A Star Wars Story, Shrek, The Bourne Identity, Happy Feet, Migration, Bolt, Don’t Worry Darling, X-Men: The Last Stand). Pixar producer Mary Alice Drumm announced at Disney/Pixar’s presentation at the Annecy International Film Festival today that Nami Melumad (Star Trek: Strange New Worlds & Prodigy, Thor: Love and Thunder, An American Pickle, Absentia, One Fast Move, The Woman in the House Across the Street from the Girl in the Window).is scoring the studio’s upcoming short Loving Dory. Thomas Newman (who scored both the original 2003 Finding Nemo and its 2016 sequel Finding Dory, as well as Pixar’s Wall-E and Elemental) is is executive producing the score for the film, which is directed by Lou Hamou-Lhadj (Borrowed Time, Win or Lose) and stars Ellen DeGeneres who returns to voice the title character who falls in love with a plastic bag floating through the sea that she mistakes for a jellyfish.
