According to the film’s latest poster, Varese Sarabande will release a soundtrack album for the sci-fi adventure sequel Star Trek Into Darkness. The movie’s music is composed by Michael Giacchino who has previously scored the 2009 original film, as well as every other feature directed by J.J. Abrams. The soundtrack is expected to be released around the film’s release in May. Check back on this site for the full album details. Star Trek Into Darkness stars Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Zoe Saldana, Karl Urban, Simon Pegg, Anton Yelchin, John Cho, Bruce Greenwood, Benedict Cumberbatch and Peter Weller. Steve Jablonsky to Score Fox’s ‘The List’ Pilot

Steve Jablonsky has signed on to score the pilot for the Fox drama The List. The show is created by Paul Zbyszewski (creator of Day Break, writer on Lost and Hawaii Five-0) and stars Michael Peña as a U.S. Marshal who leads the hunt for the person who stole “the list” – a file with the identities of every member of the Federal Witness Security Program – after people in the program start getting killed. Tamsin Egerton, Hilarie Burton and Gary Cole are also starring. Ruben Fleischer (Zombieland) is directing the pilot episode and is executive producing the 20th Century Fox Television production with Zbyszewski. Walt Disney Records will release the soundtrack albums for two of this summer’s most anticipated movies. First up is a soundtrack album for the western The Lone Ranger directed by Gore Verbinski and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer. The film’s music is composed by Hans Zimmer. The soundtrack is set to be released on June 25, 2013 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The Lone Ranger stars Armie Hammer in the film’s title role of the masked crime fighter and Johnny Depp stars as his Native American sidekick from the popular 1950s TV series. Interscope Records will release a soundtrack album for the film adaptation of Stephenie Meyer’s bestselling novel The Host. The album features songs by Imagine Dragons, Hudson Taylor, Skylar Grey, Ellie Goulding, Hudson Taylor, Duologue, Jamie N Commons, Die Mason Die, Active Child and X Ambassadors. Also included is one track from the film’s score composed by Antonio Pinto. The Host – Choose to Listen will be released digitally on March 26, 2013 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. As previously reported, a different soundtrack album featuring Pinto’s score will be released overseas by Metropolis Movie Music and is now available as an import on Amazon. Hans Zimmer has composed the music for the upcoming drama Mr. Morgan’s Last Love. The film is helmed by German director Sandra Nettelbeck (Mostly Martha) and stars Michael Caine as a lonely American widower in Paris who learns to love life again after a chance encounter with a beautiful and vibrant young woman, played by Clémence Poésy. Justin Kirk, Jane Alexander, Anne Alvaro and Gillian Anderson are co-starring. Nettelbeck has also written the screenplay based on Françoise Dorner’s French novel La Douceur assassine. Sophisticon Records will release a soundtrack EP for the indie drama Gimme the Loot. The soundtrack features three songs from the film by Nicholas Britell & Mario Grullon, Rahzel Jr. and Chronikill.
