The details of the soundtrack album for the action adventure Jurassic World have been revealed. The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award winner Michael Giacchino (Up, Ratatouille, Lost, Star Trek, Alias, The Incredibles). The soundtrack will be released digitally and physically on June 9, 2015 by Back Lot Music and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Audio samples are embedded below. Mark Kilian has recently composed the music for the pilot of the upcoming ABC drama Of Kings and Prophets. The show is created by Adam Cooper & Bill Collage (Exodus: Gods and Kings, Accepted, Tower Heist) and stars Ray Winstone, Haaz Sleiman, Maisie Richardson-Sellers, Oliver Rix, Simone Kessell, James Floyd, Mohammad Bakri and Tomer Kapon. The biblical drama centers around a battle-weary king, a powerful and resentful prophet, and a resourceful young shepherd who are on a collision course with destiny. ‘Dawn Patrol’ Soundtrack Announced

Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for the drama Dawn Patrol. The album features the film’s original music composed by Joe Kraemer (Jack Reacher, Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation, The Way of the Gun), as well as the songs from the movie by artists including Donovan Frankenreiter, Safety Orange, Guardian Ghost & Up the Anesthetic and the original track Bad Things by Rita Wilson & Matt Nathanson. Variety is reporting that Robert Drasnin passed away this past Wednesday at age 87. The composer is best known for scoring numerous TV show episodes between the 1950s and 1980s, including Mission: Impossible, The Twilight Zone, Hawaii Five-0, Lost in Space, The Man from U.N.C.L.E., I Spy, The Wild Wild West, Mannix, Cannon, The Streets of San Francisco, Police Story and CHiPs. His feature film credits include the 1970 thriller The Kremlin Letter directed by John Huston, the 1973 horror thriller The Candy Snatchers and 1966 western Ride in the Whirlwind starring Jack Nicholson. He also composed the music for numerous TV movies and served as a director of music for CBS Television from 1977 to 1991. Read the rest of this entry »
‘Insidious: Chapter 3’ Soundtrack Details

Void Recordings will release a soundtrack album for the horror sequel Insidious: Chapter 3. The album features the film’s original music composed by Joseph Bishara (The Conjuring, Annabelle) who previously scored the first two parts in the series. The soundtrack will be released digitally on June 5, 2015 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Check out audio samples after the jump. Insidious: Chapter 3 is directed by Leigh Whannell who makes his directorial debut and stars Dermot Mulroney, Stefanie Scott, Lin Shaye, Steve Coulter, Angus Sampson, Hayley Kiyoko, Ashton Moio, as well as Whannell himself. Two new movies are opening nationwide this weekend:
Opening in most theaters is the action movie Mad Max: Fury Road directed by George Miller and starring Tom Hardy, Charlize Theron, Nicholas Hoult, Hugh Keays-Byrne, Nathan Jones, Zoë Kravitz, Riley Keough, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Abbey Lee and Courtney Eaton. Tom Holkenborg (Junkie XL) has composed the film’s original music. WaterTower Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s music earlier this week. The film’s original score is composed by Mark Mothersbaugh (The Lego Movie, Hotel Transylvania, 21 Jump Street). Craig Armstrong to Score Oliver Stone’s ‘Snowden’

Craig Armstrong revealed in a recent interview with DIY that he will be reuniting with Oliver Stone on the upcoming biographical drama Snowden. The film directed by Stone (Born on the Fourth of July, JFK, Wall Street, Platoon) stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Shailene Woodley, Scott Eastwood, Melissa Leo, Nicolas Cage, Timothy Olyphant, Zachary Quinto and Tom Wilkinson. The movie is based on the books The Snowden Files: The Inside Story of the World’s Most Wanted Man by Luke Harding and Time of the Octopus by Anatoly Kucherena, which chronicles Edward Snowden’s time in Russia hoping to get asylum while the United States was demanding his extradition. Tom Holkenborg (Junkie XL) Scoring ‘Kill Your Friends’

Tom Holkenborg aka Junkie XL has composed the original score for the upcoming British indie thriller Kill Your Friends. The film is directed by Owen Harris and stars Nicholas Hoult, James Corden, Craig Roberts, Rosanna Arquette, Tom Riley and Ed Skrein. The movie follows a 27-year-old A&R man who is slashing and burning his way through London’s music industry and goes to extremes in search of the next megahit.
