Mark Isham is composing the original score for the upcoming Disney+ original movie Togo. The film is directed by Ericson Core (Point Break) and stars Willem Dafoe, Thorbjorn Harr and Michael Gaston. The adventure drama is set in 1925 during what the Nome Serum Run, when dog sleds transported diphtheria serum over nearly 700 miles to save Nome, Alaska, from an epidemic, and centers on the unlikely friendship between sled dog Togo and his driver. Tom Flynn (Gifted) wrote the screenplay. Rage Music has released a soundtrack album for the British documentary Last Breath. The album features the film’s original music composed by Paul Leonard-Morgan (Limitless, Dredd, Dynasty, Designated Survivor, Walking with Dinosaurs 3D, Wormwood). Last Breath is directed by Alex Parkinson & Richard da Costa and centers on a commercial diver who becomes trapped on the ocean floor with dwindling oxygen and little hope of a timely rescue, so he tries to save himself. La-La Land Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the Fox mystery drama The X-Files. The album features selections of the original music from the show’s eleventh and final season composed by Emmy Award nominee Mark Snow (Smallville, Millennium, Blue Bloods, Disturbing Behavior). The 2-CD set is limited to 3,000 copies and will be available to order later today on the label’s official website. La-La Land Records has previously several soundtrack albums featuring the composer’s music from the first nine seasons, as well as Season 10. Nathan Barr (True Blood, The Americans, The House with a Clock in Its Walls, Hostel, Cabin Fever) is composing the music for the new Starz original series The Rook. The show is developed by Al Blyth & Sam Holcroft based on the novel of the same title by Daniel O’Malley and stars Emma Greenwell, Olivia Munn, Jon Fletcher, Joely Richardson and Adrian Lester. ‘Long Lost’ Soundtrack Released

M-Rose Productions has released a soundtrack album for the psychological thriller Long Lost. The album features the film’s original music composed by Gyom (aka Gyom Amphoux). The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. Long Lost is written and directed by Erik Bloomquist  and stars Catherine Corcoran, Adam Weppler, Nicholas Tucci and Fran Kranz. The movie follows a man who receives a mysterious letter inviting him to spend the weekend at a secluded mansion in the country and soon realizes the people inside the house may know him better than he knows himself. Walt Disney Records has announced the official soundtrack album for Jon Favreau’s The Lion King. The album features features new recordings of the original songs written by Elton John and Tim Rice for the 1994 animated classic, the score by Hans Zimmer (Gladiator, Inception, The Dark Knight) who received his first Academy Award for the animated movie, plus African vocal and choir arrangements by Grammy-winning South African producer and composer Lebo M. Also included Pharrell Williams produced five songs on the soundtrack. Also included is the John- & Rice-written original song Never Too Late performed by John, that features an African choir and will appear in the film’s end credits. Inside Recordings has released the original song A Human Touch from the documentary 5B. The track is performed by Jackson Browne & Leslie Mendelson and co-written by the singer/songwriters with Steve McEwan. The song is now available as a digital single on Amazon. Premiering in the U.S. tomorrow, June 24, is the British limited series Years and Years created by Russell T. Davies, directed by Simon Celan Jonesand starring Emma Thompson, Russell Tovey, Rory Kinnear, T’Nia Miller, Ruth Madeley, Jessica Hynes and Anne Reid. The show’s original music is composed by Murray Gold (Doctor Who, Torchwood, A Very British Scandal, Gentleman Jack). The drama, which follows an outspoken celebrity business woman turned political figure whose controversial opinions divide the nation, premiered last month in the UK on BBC One and will air stateside on HBO. The show is created by Stephen Butchard (The Last Kingdom, The Child in Time) based on the novel of the same title by Elliot Cola and stars Waleed Zuaiter, Bertie Carvel, Clara Khoury, Leem Lubany, July Namir, Neil Maskell and Corey Stoll. The 6-part crime thriller is set in 2003 Baghdad after Saddam Hussain has fallen and the Coalition forces want to secure the country and centers on a group of ordinary occupied Iraqi citizens.
