Kurt Farquhar has announced that he will be composing the score for the upcoming BET original series American Soul. The show is created by Devon Greggory & Jonathan Prince and stars Sinqua Walls, Jason Dirden, Iantha Richardson, Christopher Jefferson, Katlyn Nichol and Jelani Winston. On September 20, Vince DiCola will be performing his music at a one-night-only concert at the Whiskey a Go Go nightclub in West Hollywood, CA. The composer will perform compositions from his scores to 1985’s Rocky IV, 1986’s The Transformers: The Movie and the video game Angry Birds Transformers, among other titles. An Evening with Vince DiCola will also feature the debut performance of the new progressive rock band Saga Star, consisting of the composer himself, Rick Livingstone, Bobby Gianetti and Victor St. John.
