The full details of the first soundtrack album for the NBC drama Timeless have been announced. The album features selections of the original music from the show’s first two seasons composed by Emmy Award nominee Robert Duncan (Castle, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, S.W.A.T., The Unit, Terriers). Also included is Abigail Spencer’s performance of You Made Me Love You (I Didn’t Want To Do It) from the episode Hollywoodland. Nathan Barr to Score Amazon’s ‘Carnival Row’
Nathan Barr is set to score the upcoming Amazon original series Carnival Row. The fantasy drama is created by Travis Beacham (Pacific Rim, Clash of the Titans) & Rene Echevarria (Castle, Teen Wolf) and stars Orlando Bloom, Cara Delevingne, David Gyasi, Karla Crome, Indira Varma and Tamzin Merchant. The show is set in a neo-Victorian city, where mythical creatures who have fled their war-torn homeland are gathered, and follows the investigation into a string of unsolved murders that are eating away at whatever uneasy peace still exists.
‘Doctor Who’ Season 9 Soundtrack Details
Silva Screen Records has announced the details of the new soundtrack release for the BBC drama Doctor Who. The album features selections from the original music of the show’s ninth season composed by Murray Gold (Death at a Funeral, Torchwood, Shameless, Hoodwinked Too! Hood vs. Evil), including the complete scores from the episode Heaven Sent and the Christmas Special, The Husbands Of River Song. The soundtrack will be released as a 4-CD set on April 27, 2018. Benjamin Wynn (Deru) Scoring YouTube Red’s ‘Impulse’
Benjamin Wynn (aka Deru) has announced that he has composed the score for the upcoming YouTube Red original series Impulse. The show is based on the third novel in the Jumper series by Steven Gould and stars Maddie Hasson, Missi Pyle, Sarah Desjardins, Enuka Okuma, Craig Arnold and David James Elliott. The drama tells the story of a rebellious 16-year-old girl who has always felt different from her peers and has longed to escape from her seemingly quaint small town and soon discovers she has the extraordinary ability to teleport.
Soundtrack Album for FX’s ‘The Americans’ Released
20th Century Fox TV Records has released the first soundtrack album for the FX original series The Americans. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Emmy Award nominee Nathan Barr (True Blood, Cabin Fever, Hostel, Hemlock Grove, Sneaky Pete, The Son). Also included is the song It Must Be Done by Pete Townshend & Barr, which has previously been released as a digital single in 2014. The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio samples. The Americans is created by Joe Weisberg and stars Keri Russell, Matthew Rhys, Keidrich Sellati, Holly Taylor, Margo Martindale and Noah Emmerich.
Jeff Cardoni to Score Netflix’s ‘The Kominsky Method’
Jeff Cardoni has been hired to score the upcoming Netflix original series The Kominsky Method. The show is created by Chuck Lorre (The Big Bang Theory, Two and a Half Men) and stars Michael Douglas, Alan Arkin, Nancy Travis, Sarah Baker, Susan Sullivan, Emily Osment, Graham Rogers, Ashleigh LaThrop, Jenna Lyng Adams, Melissa Tang and Casey Brown. The comedy revolves around an actor who years ago had a brief fling with success and is now a revered Hollywood acting coach. Lorre and Douglas are also executive producing the Warner Bros. Television production.
Ruth Barrett Scoring BBC’s ‘Bodyguard’
Ruth Barrett is composing the music for the upcoming BBC drama Bodyguard. The show is created by Jed Mercurio (Line of Duty) and stars Richard Madden, Keeley Hawes, Gina McKee, Sophie Rundle, Vincent Franklin and Rowena King. The 6-part thriller tells the story of a heroic but volatile war veteran now working as a Specialist Protection Officer for the Royalty and Specialist Protection Branch (RaSP) of London’s Metropolitan Police Service. Mercurio is also executive producing the project with Simon Heath for World Productions and Elizabeth Kilgarriff for BBC.

Premiering tonight is the HBO original series Barry created by Bill Hader & Alec Berg and starring Hader himself, alongside Henry Winkler, Stephen Root, Sarah Goldberg, Anthony Carrigan and Glenn Fleshler. The show’s original music is composed by David Wingo (Loving, Mud, Midnight Special, Take Shelter). James Lavelle & Jack Leonard of the British music collective UNKLE have composed the show’s original music. Nathaniel Mechaly Scoring Netflix’s ‘November 13’ & ‘O.G.’
Nathaniel Mechaly is scoring the upcoming Netflix docu-series November 13. The 3-parter is directed by Jules & Gédéon Naudet (9/11) and explores the human stories behind the terrorist attacks that took place in Paris on November 13th, 2015. The documentary will share testimonies of the people brought together by tragedy, from the survivors, the fire department, the Police and the leaders of the French government including French President at the time of the events, François Hollande. The Naudet brothers are also executive producing the project with Propagate’s Ben Silverman & Howard T. Owens.
Jeff Russo Scoring ‘Santa Clarita Diet’ Season 2
Jeff Russo (Fargo, Star Trek: Discovery, Legion, Snowfall, The Night Of) is the new composer of the Netflix original series Santa Clarita Diet. The composer has scored the second season of the show created by Victor Fresco and starring Drew Barrymore, Timothy Olyphant, Liv Hewson and Skyler Gisondo. The comedy follows a married couple leading vaguely discontented lives in the L.A. suburb of Santa Clarita with their teenage daughter until the wife goes through a dramatic change sending their lives down a road of death and destruction.
