Four new movies are opening in theaters nationwide this weekend:
Opening in most theaters is the live-action adventure comedy Sonic the Hedgehog directed by Jeff Fowler and starring James Marsden, Ben Schwartz, Tika Sumpter, Natasha Rothwell, Neal McDonough, Adam Pally and Jim Carrey. The film’s original music is composed by Tom Holkenborg (aka Junkie XL) (Mad Max: Fury Road, Deadpool, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Alita: Battle Angel, Terminator: Dark Fate). Paramount Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score digitally today. La-La Land Records will release a CD version soon. Also opening wide is the supernatural horror thriller Blumhouse’s Fantasy Island directed by Jeff Wadlow and starring Michael Peña, Maggie Q, Lucy Hale, Austin Stowell, Jimmy O. Yang, Portia Doubleday, Ryan Hansen and Michael Rooker. Bear McCreary (Godzilla: King of the Monsters, 10 Cloverfield Lane, The Walking Dead, Battlestar Galactica, Outlander) has composed the film’s original music. Madison Gate Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score. Tamar-kali (Mudbound) is composing the music for the upcoming drama Come Sunday. The film is directed by Joshua Marston (Maria Full of Grace, Complete Unknown) and stars Chiwetel Ejiofor, Danny Glover, Condola Rashad, Jason Segel, Lakeith Stanfield and Martin Sheen. The movie revolves around the internationally-renowned pastor Carlton Pearson as he risks his church, family and future when he questions church doctrine and finds himself branded a modern-day heretic. Marcus Hinchey (All Good Things) wrote the screenplay. 
Opening in most theaters is the comic book movie Justice League directed by Zack Snyder and starring Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Amy Adams, Ezra Miller, Jason Monoa, Ray Fisher, Jeremy Irons, Diane Lane, Connie Nielsen, J.K. Simmons and Ciarán Hinds. The film’s original music is composed by Danny Elfman (Batman, Spider-Man, Alice in Wonderland). WaterTower Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score, as well as tracks by Sigrid, The White Stripes and Gary Clark Jr. & Junkie XL. 
Also opening wide is the drama Wonder co-written and directed by Stephen Chbosky and starring Jacob Tremblay, Julia Roberts, Owen Wilson, Izabela Vidovic, Mandy Patinkin and Daveed Diggs. Marcelo Zarvos (Fences, The Good Shepherd, The Affair, Enough Said) has composed the film’s original music. Milan Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score, as well as the original song Darker by Hannah Faye and other songs. Check out
