Opening in theaters nationwide today is the action movie Ballerina directed by Len Wiseman and starring Ana de Armas, Gabriel Byrne, Anjelica Huston, Ian McShane, Keanu Reeves, Lance Reddick, Catalina Sandino Moreno and Norman Reedus. The film’s original score is composed by Tyler Bates (Guardians of the Galaxy, Watchmen, Deadpool 2, 300, X, Atomic Blonde) & Joel J. Richard (John Wick, Quantico, Books of Blood). Lakeshore Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composers’ music today (click here for the full album details). Always Never Records has released a separate EP featuring three tracks by Le Castle Vania and Columbia Records has released two digital singles featuring the end credits songs (click here to listen to all tracks and to learn more about the Lionsgate release).

Also opening wide this weekend is the survival horror thriller Dangerous Animals directed by Sean Byrne and starring Hassie Harrison, Jai Courtney, Josh Heuston, Liam Greinke, Rob Carltonand Ella Newton. Michael Yezerski (The Tax Collector, Blindspotting, The Devil’s Candy, The Vigil,  Corporate Animals, Feel the Beat) has composed the film’s original music. Range Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score today. Danny Bensi & Saunder Jurriaans Scoring Netflix’s ‘Splinter Cell: Deathwatch’ Animated Series

Danny Bensi & Saunder Jurriaans (Ozark, The Outsider, Enemy, Speak No Evil, The White Tiger, The Gift, Boy Erased, The Staircase, Tokyo Vice) have been tapped to compose music for the upcoming Netflix animated series Splinter Cell: Deathwatch. The show based on the Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell espionage video game franchise is directed by Guillaume Dousse & Félicien Colmet-Daage and stars Liev Schreiber as Sam Fisher, a black ops agent working for the US government division “The Fourth Echelon.” Derek Kolstad (John Wick, Nobody) serves as the project’s head writer.

Opening in theaters nationwide is the action comedy Novocaine directed by Dan Berk & Robert Olsen and starring Jack Quaid, Amber Midthunder, Ray Nicholson, Matt Walsh, Jacob Batalon, Betty Gabriel, Lou Beatty Jr., Conrad Kemp and Van Hengst. The film’s original music is composed by Lorne Balfe (Mission: Impossible: Fallout, Black Widow, Black Adam, The Wheel of Time, His Dark Materials, Top Gun: Maverick) & Andrew Kawczynski (Gran Turismo, The Amazing Spider-Man 2, The Corrupted). Lakeshore Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composers’ score today. David Holmes (Ocean’s Eleven, Out of Sight, Killing Eve, Haywire, No Sudden Move, Hunger, Analyze That, Marlowe) has composed the film’s original music. Danny Bensi & Saunder Jurriaans (Ozark, Enemy, Speak No Evil, The Outsider, Presumed Innocent, The White Tiger, The Gift, The Staircase, Boy Erased, The Devil All the Time, Tokyo Vice) have composed the original score for the upcoming horror feature Opus. The film is written and directed by Mark Anthony Green and stars Ayo Edebiri, John Malkovich, Murray Bartlett, Juliette Lewis and Amber Midthunder. The movie follows a young writer who is invited to the remote compound of a legendary pop star who mysteriously disappeared thirty years ago and finds herself in the middle of his twisted plan.

Soundtrack Album for Prime Video’s ‘Secret Level’ to Be Released

Milan Records will release a soundtrack album for the Prime Video original adult animated anthology series Secret Level. The Volume 1.1 album features selections of the original music from nine episodes of the show’s first season composed by Rob Cairns (Love, Death + Robots, Dallas, The Forger, The Bachelor), Maxime Hervé (Solasta: Crown of the Magister, Crown Wars, Space Hulk: Tactics), 2WEI (best known for their trailer music) and Danny Bensi & Saunder Jurriaans (Ozark, Speak No Evil, Enemy, The Gift, The Outsider). Also included is Cairns’ main title theme, which can also be checked out after the jump). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, December 20 (visit Amazon or any other major digital music services to stream/download). A second volume is expected to be released in the coming weeks. Secret Level is created by Tim Miller and showcases a cast including Arnold Schwarzenegger, Kevin Hart, Keanu Reeves, Ariana Greenblatt, Temuera Morrison, Gabriel Luna, Heaven Hart, Emily Swallow, Ricky Whittle, Merle Dandridge, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Claudia Doumit, Clive Standen, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Laura Bailey and Michael Beach.

Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the comedy Y2K co-written and directed by Kyle Mooney and starring Rachel Zegler, Jaeden Martell, Julian Dennison, Lachlan Watson, Daniel Zolghadri, Mason Gooding and The Kid Laroi. Danny Bensi & Saunder Jurriaans (Ozark, Enemy, Speak No Evil, The White Tiger, The Outsider,  The Staircase, The Gift, Tokyo Vice) have composed the film’s original music. Also opening wide is the horror thriller Werewolves directed by Steven C. Miller and starring Frank Grillo, Katrina Law, James Michael Cummings, Ilfenesh Hadera and Lou Diamond Phillips. The Newton Brothers (X-Men ’97, The Haunting of Hill House, Doctor Sleep, Five Nights at Freddy’s, The Forever Purge, The Fall of the House of Usher) have composed the film’s original music. ‘Tulsa King’ Score Album Released

Lakeshore Records has released the first score album for the Paramount+ original series Tulsa King. The album features selections of the original score from the show’s first two seasons composed by Danny Bensi & Saunder Jurriaans (Ozark, The Outsider, Speak No Evil, The Staircase, Boy Erased, Presumed Innocent, The Gift, Enemy, Tokyo Vice). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. The label has previously released an EP featuring Garrett Hedlund’s songs from Seasons 1 & 2 last month, while MTV Entertainment Studios has released Bensi’s & Jurriaans’ opening titles theme from the drama in 2022. Tulsa King is created by Taylor Sheridan and stars Sylvester Stallone, Martin Starr, Jay Will, Hedlund, Vincent Piazza, Annabella Sciorra, Max Casella, Neal McDonough, Tatiana Zappardino, Domenick Lombardozzi, Andrea Savage, Frank Grillo and Dana Delany.

‘Penelope’ Soundtrack Album Details

Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for the coming-of-age drama series Penelope. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Danny Bensi & Saunder Jurriaans (Ozark, The Outsider, Speak No Evil, Enemy, The Gift, The Staircase, Boy Erased,  Fear the Walking Dead, A Murder at the End of the World) with Julia Piker. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, September 24 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Also listen to the composers’ first track (Feels Free) below. Penelope is created by Mark Duplass & Mel Eslyn and stars Megan Stott, Austin Abrams, Rhenzy Feliz and Krisha Fairchild. The 8-parter follows the 16-year-old title character who is feeling out of place in modern society and gets drawn into the unknown wilderness, where she begins forming a new life for herself.

Premiering tonight is the new CBS drama Matlock developed by Jennie Snyder Urman inspired by the classic 80s/90s series of the same name and starring Kathy Bates, Skye P. Marshall, Jason Ritter, Leah Lewis and David Del Rio. The show’s original music is composed by Zach Robinson (Cobra Kai, Weird: The Al Yankovic Story, Wrestlers, Twisted Metal, Fright Krewe, Obliterated, Good Sam, Pitch Perfect: Bumper in Berlin, Florida Man).
