Danny Bensi & Saunder Jurriaans (Ozark, Speak No EvilThe Outsider, EnemyPresumed Innocent, The Gift, The White TigerThe Staircase, The Devil All the Time, Boy ErasedTokyo Vice) are the composers of the new Apple TV+ limited series Smoke. The show is created by Dennis Lehane (Black Bird, Shutter Island) and stars Taron Egerton, Jurnee Smollett, Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine, Greg Kinnear, Rafe Spall, Anna Chlumsky, Hannah Emily Anderson, Adina Porter and John Leguizamo. The 9-part crime drama revolves around an arson investigator who begrudgingly teams up with a police detective as their race to stop two arsonists ignites a twisted game of secrets and suspicions. As previously reported, Thom Yorke has contributed the original opening titles song Dialing In. Lehane & Egerton are also executive producing the Apple Studios production with EDEN Productions’ Richard Plepler (Franklin), Imperative Entertainment’s Bradley Thomas & Dan Friedkin (Killers of the Flower Moon, hThe Mule), series directors Kari Skogland (The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, The Loudest Voice) and Joe Chappelle (Phantoms, Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers), as well as Jane Bartelme, Kary Antholis (We Own This City) and Marc Smerling (All Good Things). Smoke will premiere on June 27 exclusively on Apple TV+.

Bensi’s & Jurriaans’ other current television scoring projects include Apple TV+’s Presumed Innocent and Paramount+’s Tulsa King, which has been renewed for a third season. They also have the Netflix animated series Splinter Cell: Deathwatch (to premiere this fall) coming up.
