Sum of All Music will release a soundtrack album for the fantasy adventure The King’s Daughter. The album features the film’s original music composed by Joseph Metcalfe (Sleeping Beauty, The Hard Cops), John Coda (Bratz, Hoovey, Cats & Dogs 3: Paws Unite) & Grant Kirkhope (Civilization: Beyond Earth, Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle) and performed by the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra and Choir. Also included is a track (Minuet) written by Academy Award nominee Nicholas Britell (Moonlight, Succession, If Beale Street Could Talk). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, January 21 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music stores. The King’s Daughter is directed by Sean McNamara and stars Pierce Brosnan, Kaya Scodelario, Benjamin Walker, Bingbing Fan, Rachel Griffiths and William Hurt.

Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the slasher movie Scream directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin & Tyler Gillett and starring Melissa Barrera, Kyle Gallner, Mason Gooding, Dylan Minnette, Jenna Ortega, Jack Quaid, Mikey Madison, Marley Shelton, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Sonia Ammar, as well as Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox and David Arquette. The film’s original music is composed by Brian Tyler (Fast & Furious, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Iron Man 3, Crazy Rich Asians, Yellowstone, Now You See Me, Thor: The Dark World). Opening in nationwide this weekend is the musical drama West Side Story directed by Steven Spielberg and starring Ansel Elgort, Rachel Zegler, Ariana DeBose, Mike Faist, Josh Andrés Rivera, David Alvarez, Corey Stoll, Brian d’Arcy James, Ana Isabelle and Rita Moreno. The film’s music was originally written for the stage musical of the same title by Leonard Bernstein (with lyrics by Stephen Sondheim) and has been adapted by David Newman (Anastasia, Ice Age, Serenity, The Flintstones). Gustavo Dudamel conducted the New York and Los Angeles Philharmonic. Hollywood Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the songs and score from the movie last week. Ariana Grande’s & Kid Cudi’s Original Song ‘Just Look Up’ from Adam McKay’s ‘Don’t Look Up’ Released
Republic Records has released the original song Just Look Up from Adam McKay’s Netflix original film Don’t Look Up. The track is performed by Ariana Grande & Kid Cudi and co-written by themselves, the movie’s composer Nicholas Britell and Taura Stinson. The song is now available to stream/download on all major digital music platforms (including Amazon). Check out the official lyric video after the jump. As previously reported, a full soundtrack album featuring Just Look Up, Britell’s original score and another original song performed by Bon Iver will be coming out next Friday, December 10.

Republic Records will release the official soundtrack album for the Netflix original film Don’t Look Up. The album features the movie’s original score composed by Academy Award nominee Nicholas Britell (Moonlight, Succession, The Big Short, If Beale Street Could Talk, Cruella, Vice, The Underground Railroad). Daniel Pemberton Named Film Composer of the Year at 2021 World Soundtrack Awards
Daniel Pemberton was named Film Composer of the Year at the 21st World Soundtrack Awards, tonight’s closing event of the 48th Ghent Film Festival, for his scores for Aaron Sorkins’ The Trial of the Chicago 7, Harry Bradbeer’s Enola Holmes and the documentary Rising Phoenix. He previously received his first World Soundtrack Award in the Discovery of the Year category back in 2014. Carlos Rafael Rivera was honored as TV Composer of the Year today for his score for the Netflix limited series The Queen’s Gambit (for which he recently received his second Emmy Award) and HBO’s Hacks.

The full details of the second and third soundtrack albums for the Amazon limited series The Underground Railroad have been revealed. The Volume 2 & 3 albums feature more music from the show composed by Nicholas Britell (Succession, Moonlight, Cruella, If Beale Street Could Talk, The Big Short, Vice, Battle of the Sexes). The full details of the score album for Disney’s Cruella have been revealed.
