Sum of All Music will release a soundtrack album for the fantasy adventure The King’s Daughter. The album features the film’s original music composed by Joseph Metcalfe (Sleeping Beauty, The Hard Cops), John Coda (Bratz, Hoovey, Cats & Dogs 3: Paws Unite) & Grant Kirkhope (Civilization: Beyond Earth, Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle) and performed by the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra and Choir. Also included is a track (Minuet) written by Academy Award nominee Nicholas Britell (Moonlight, Succession, If Beale Street Could Talk). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, January 21 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music stores. The King’s Daughter is directed by Sean McNamara and stars Pierce Brosnan, Kaya Scodelario, Benjamin Walker, Bingbing Fan, Rachel Griffiths and William Hurt. The movie narrated by Julie Andrews is based on Vonda N. McIntyre’s novel The Moon and the Sun and follows King Louis XIV whose quest for immortality leads him to capture a mermaid’s life force, when his long-hidden illegitimate daughter forms a bond with the magical creature.
