Lakeshore Records has announced a soundtrack album for the ITV original series Marcella.The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Lorne Balfe (The LEGO Batman Movie, Pacific Rim Uprising, Genius, The Crown, Terminator Genisys, Home). Also included is the opening titles song Fall performed by The Bug feat. Inga Copeland. The soundtrack will be released digitally on March 9, 2018 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Marcella is created by Hans Rosenfeldt & Nicola Larder and stars Anna Friel, Nicholas Pinnock, Nina Sosanya, Ray Panthaki, Jamie Bamber and Jack Doolan. The series is set in contemporary London and follows a detective who returns to the Metropolitan Police’s Murder Squad after a 10-year long career break to start a family.

Nathan Larson Scoring Craig Johnson’s ‘Alex Strangelove’
Composer Nathan Larson is reuniting with director Craig Johnson on the upcoming teen comedy Alex Strangelove. The film is written and directed by Johnson (Wilson) and stars Daniel Doheny, Antonio Marzial, Joanna Adler and William Ragsdale. The movie revolves around a high school senior whose quest to lose his virginity leads to a hilarious and heartbreaking exploration of modern manhood. Jared Ian Goldman (Adult Beginners, Ingrid Goes West) and Nicky Weinstock are producing the project for Ben Stiller’s Red Hour Films.

Premiering tomorrow, February 26, in the U.S. is the BBC & AMC series McMafia created by Hossein Amini & James Watkins and starring James Norton, Aleksey Serebryakov, Maria Shukshina, Faye Marsay and Juliet Rylance. The show’s original music is composed by Tom Hodge & Franz Kirmann. Decca Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composers’ score from the drama’s first season. Bobby Krlic Scoring Netflix’s ‘Seven Seconds’
Bobby Krlic (aka The Haxan Cloak) has composed the music for the first season of the new Netflix original series Seven Seconds. The show is created by Veena Sud (The Killing, Cold Case) based on the 2013 Russian movie The Major and stars Clare-Hope Ashitey, Regina King, Beau Knapp, Russell Hornsby, Michael Mosely, David Lyons, Raul Castillo and Zackary Momoh. The drama revolves around the death of a 15-year-old African American boy in Jersey City that sets off a police cover-up and a search for the truth.
Soundtrack Album for Netflix’s ‘Trolls: The Beat Goes On!’ to Be Released
RCA Records will release a soundtrack album for DreamWorks Animation’s Netflix series Trolls: The Beat Goes On!. The album features the main titles song Hair in the Air performed by Amanda Leighton & Skylar Astin and written by Jeannie Lurie, Mia Minichiello & Matias Mora. Also included are the other original songs from the show’s first two seasons written by Alana Da Fonseca and performed by the series’ voice cast. The soundtrack will be released physically on March 23, 2018 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. A digital EP featuring six songs is already available to download here. Trolls: The Beat Goes On! is developed by Matthew Ireland Beans and features the voices of Leighton & Astin, as well as Ron Funches, David Fynn, David Koechner, Sean T. Krishnan and Sam Lerner.

Premiering in the U.S. on February 20 is the British crime drama The Frankenstein Chronicles created by Benjamin Ross & Barry Langford and starring Sean Bean, Tom Ward, Richie Campbell, Vanessa Kirby, Ed Stoppard and Ryan Sampson. Roger Goula (Next Goal Wins, Identicals) and Harry Escott (Shame, Hard Candy, Welcome to the Punch) have composed the show’s original music. The series’ first season premiered in the UK in 2015 and the second season last year on ITV. Both seasons of the drama will be available to stream in the U.S. on Netflix.

Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for the Netflix original series Altered Carbon. The album features selections from the show’s original score composed by Emmy Award winner Jeff Russo (Fargo, Legion, The Night Of, Star Trek: Discovery, Counterpart), including the composer’s main titles theme. Also included and a cover of Johnny Cash’s Ain’t No Grave performed by performed by actress Renée Elise Goldsberry (Quellcrist Falconer) and Sune Rose Wagner’s performance of White Zombie’s More Human Than Human.
