Premiering in the U.S. on February 20 is the British crime drama The Frankenstein Chronicles created by Benjamin Ross & Barry Langford and starring Sean Bean, Tom Ward, Richie Campbell, Vanessa Kirby, Ed Stoppard and Ryan Sampson. Roger Goula (Next Goal Wins, Identicals) and Harry Escott (Shame, Hard Candy, Welcome to the Punch) have composed the show’s original music. The series’ first season premiered in the UK in 2015 and the second season last year on ITV. Both seasons of the drama will be available to stream in the U.S. on Netflix.

Premiering on Friday, February 23, is the Netflix original movie Mute directed by Duncan Jones and starring Alexander Skarsgard, Paul Rudd and Justin Theroux. The film’s original music is composed by Clint Mansell (Requiem for a Dream, Black Swan, The Fountain, Noah) who previously scored Jones’ Moon. A soundtrack album is in the works. The movie, which follows a mute man who ventures into a near-future Berlin’s seamy underworld when his girlfriend vanishes, will be available to stream exclusively on Netflix.

    Dear film music reporter,

Is there any update as to when Mansell’s haunting score for “Mute” will be released? Have there been any updates as to the soundtrack being in the works?

I read on your website that the score to Netflix’s “The Titan” will be released soon. Seeing that “Mute” was released before “Titan,” I was hoping there would be an update as to the release date status of “Mute” by Clint Mansell. Please advise! Many of us are patiently waiting! Thank you!
