Lakeshore Records has released a soundtrack album for the Japanese drama The Silent Service. The album features the show’s original music composed by Yoshihiro Ike (Blood: The Last Vampire, Knights of the Zodiac, B: The Beginning, The Empire of Corpses, Vampire in the Garden). The Silent Service is directed by Kohei Yoshino and stars Takao Osawa, Hiroshi Tamaki, Aya Ueto, Tomoya Nakamura, Yusuke Santamaria and Aoi Nakamura. The series based on the manga franchise of the same title is set in Japan’s first nuclear submarine and depicts the unpredictable actions of its captain as he attempts to realize his ideal world.

Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the comedy Book Club: The Next Chapter directed by Bill Holderman and starring Mary Steenburgen, Diane Keaton, Candice Bergen, Jane Fonda, Andy Garcia and Craig T. Nelson. The film’s original score is composed by Tom Howe (Ted Lasso, Daisy Jones and the Six, Shrinking, Early Man). Back Lot Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score, as well as an original song co-written by Steenburgen today. Also opening nationwide is the action thriller Hypnotic directed by Robert Rodriguez and starring Ben Affleck, Alice Braga, JD Pardo, Hala Finley, Dayo Okeniyi,William Fichtner, Jeff Fahey and Jackie Earle Haley. Rebel Rodriguez (We Can Be Heroes, Red 11) has composed the film’s original music. No soundtrack album has been announced. ‘Knights of the Zodiac’ Soundtrack Album Details
Sony Masterworks will release a soundtrack album for the action fantasy adventure Knights of the Zodiac. The album features the film’s original music composed by Yoshihiro Ike (Blood: The Last Vampire, B: The Beginning, The Empire of Corpses, Vampire in the Garden). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, April 28 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Knights of the Zodiac is directed by Tomek Baginski and stars Mackenyu, Famke Janssen, Madison Iseman, Diego Tinoco, Mark Dacascos and Nick Stahl. The movie based on the international anime hit follows a headstrong street teen who finds himself thrust into a world of warring saints, ancient magical training and a reincarnated goddess who needs his protection.
‘Vampire in the Garden’ Soundtrack Album Released
Fabtone has released a soundtrack album for the Netflix anime series Vampire in the Garden. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Yoshihiro Ike (Ergo Proxy, B: The Beginning, The Empire of Corpses). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download here, where you can also check out audio samples. A 2-CD version is also being released in Japan. Vampire in the Garden is produced by Wit Studio and features the voices of Megumi Han, Yu Kobayashi, Chiaki Kobayashi, Rica Fukami, Hiroki Touchi and Ari Ozawa.

Premiering tomorrow, February 26, in the U.S. is the BBC & AMC series McMafia created by Hossein Amini & James Watkins and starring James Norton, Aleksey Serebryakov, Maria Shukshina, Faye Marsay and Juliet Rylance. The show’s original music is composed by Tom Hodge & Franz Kirmann. Decca Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composers’ score from the drama’s first season. Also premiering tomorrow is the new NBC comedy drama Good Girls created by Jenna Bans and starring Christina Hendricks, Retta, Mae Whitman, Matthew Lillard, Reno Wilson, Manny Montana, Lidya Jewett and Izzy Stannard. Michael Penn (Girls, Masters of Sex, Boogie Nights, Solitary Man, Sunshine Cleaning) is composing the show’s original music. Soundtrack Album for ‘B: The Beginning’ to Be Released
Milan Records will release a soundtrack album for the Japanese anime series B: The Beginning. The album features the original music from the show’s first season composed by Yoshihiro Ike. The soundtrack is set to be released physically as a 2-CD set on March 23, 2018 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. B: The Beginning produced by Production I.G. (Ghost in the Shell, Psycho-pass) and Kazuto Nakazawa (animation director of Kill Bill) follows a group of scientists who hope “new humans” will create universal peace, but they’re kidnapped by an evil group with very different plans. The series’ full first season of 12 episodes will premiere globally on March 2 on Netflix.
