Mark Isham announced on Instagram that he will compose the music for Marvel’s upcoming Freeform original series Cloak & Dagger. The show is created by Joe Pokaski (Underground) based on the Marvel Comic characters by Bill Mantlo & Ed Hannigan and stars Olivia Holt, Aubrey Joseph, Andrea Roth, Gloria Reuben, Miles Mussenden, Carl Lundstedt, James Saito and J.D. Evermore. The series follows two teenagers from very different backgrounds, who find themselves burdened and awakened to newly acquired superpowers while falling in love.

‘Once Upon a Time’ – The Musical Episode Soundtrack Details
Walt Disney Records will release a soundtrack album for the musical episode of ABC’s hit drama Once Upon a Time. The album features the songs from the episode written by Alan Zachary and Michael Weiner and performed by cast members including Ginnifer Goodwin, Jennifer Morrison, Josh Dallas, Colin O’Donoghue, Lana Parrilla, Giancarlo Esposito, Lee Arenberg, Tony Amendola and Beverley Elliott. Morrison is also performing Emma’s Theme written by the show’s composer Mark Isham (Crash, The Accountant, A River Runs Through It) and featuring lyrics by Zachary & Weiner and is now available for pre-order on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio samples.

Five new movies are opening nationwide this weekend:
Opening in most theaters is the thriller Unforgettable directed by Denise Di Novi and starring Katherine Heigl, Rosario Dawson, Geoff Stults, Cheryl Ladd, Whitney Cummings and Isabella Rice. The film’s original music is composed by Toby Chu (Covert Affairs, Burn Notice, Legends of Oz: Dorothy’s Return, State of Affairs, Beyond). No soundtrack album has been announced. Also opening wide is the historical drama The Promise directed by Terry George and starring Oscar Isaac, Christian Bale, Charlotte Le Bon, Angela Sarafyan, Shohreh Aghdashloo, Daniel Gimenez Cacho, James Cromwell and Jean Reno. Gabriel Yared (The English Patient, The Talented Mr. Ripley, Cold Mountain, 1408) has composed the film’s original score. Mark Isham Scoring John Ridley’s ‘Let It Fall: Los Angeles 1982-1992’
Mark Isham is scoring the upcoming documentary Let It Fall: Los Angeles 1982-1992. The film is written and directed by John Ridley (12 Years a Slave, Shame) and explores the city-wide violence that began April 29, 1992, when the verdict was announced in the Rodney King case. The movie delves beyond the conflict between law enforcement and the black community to look at tensions across the city as a whole. Ridley is also producing the project. Isham has previously collaborated with Ridley on the TV series American Crime, which currently airs in its third season Sunday nights on ABC.
Mark Isham to Score Jennifer Morrison’s ‘Sun Dogs’
Mark Isham has signed on to score the upcoming comedy Sun Dogs. The film marks the feature directorial debut of actress Jennifer Morrison from the Isham-scored ABC drama Once Upon a Time and stars herself, alongside Michael Angarano, Melissa Benoist, Allison Janney and Ed O’Neill. The movie follows a young misfit in his repeated failed attempts to join the Marines and serve his country. When his last interview fails, he sets his sights on a casino manager who may or may not be a terrorist mastermind. Anthony Tambakis (Warrior, Jane Got a Gun) wrote the screenplay.

Mark Isham has composed the music for the upcoming the drama Megan Leavey. The film is directed by Gabriela Cowperthwaite (Blackfish) and stars Kate Mara, Ramon Rodriguez, Edie Falco, Common, Tom Felton, Damson Idris, Bradley Whitford and Will Patton. The movie tells the true story of Leavey, a young Marine who turned her life around by enlisting in the K9 unit, where she was teamed with an aggressive combat dog named Rex. Pamela Gray (Music of the Heart, Conviction) has written the screenplay.

The album features the film’s original music composed by Mark Isham (Crash, A River Runs Through It, Once Upon a Time, Quiz Show, 42, American Crime). Also included is the song To Leave Something Behind by Sean Rowe. The soundtrack will be released digitally on October 7, 2016 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio samples. The Accountant is directed by Gary O’Connor (Miracle, Warrior) and stars Ben Affleck, Anna Kendrick, J.K. Simmons, Jon Bernthal, Jean Smart, Cynthia Addai-Robinson, Jeffrey Tambor and John Lithgow.
