Momentum RLP Records has announced a soundtrack album for the Hallmark Hall of Fame original movie Away & Back. The album features the film’s original music composed by William Ross (Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, The Tales of Despereaux, Tin Cup, Ladder 49). The soundtrack will be released digitally on February 10, 2015 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. William Ross to Score Hallmark Hall of Fame’s ‘Away & Back’
William Ross has been hired to score the upcoming Hallmark Hall of Fame original movie Away & Back. The movie stars Jason Lee, Minka Kelly and Maggie Elizabeth Jones. The film is set on the Peterson Farm where a 10-year old girl and her dad discover a family of swans and follows a no-nonsense ornithologist who rushes in to “save” the majestic birds. Ross has previously scored In My Dreams and One Christmas Eve for Hallmark Hall of Fame Productions. Away and Back is set to premiere on January 25, 2015 on the Hallmark Channel.

The film’s original music is composed by William Ross (Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, The Tale of Desperaux) who previously scored Russell’s Ladder 49, My Dog Skip and Tuck Everlasting and Jerome Leroy. Premiering on Tuesday, December 2, is the Disney/Pixar holiday special Toy Story That Time Forgot directed by Steve Purcell and featuring the voices of Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, Kristen Schaal, Kevin McKidd, Wallace Shawn, Timothy Dalton, Don Rickles and Joan Cusack. Michael Giacchino (Star Trek, Lost, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes) who previously scored last year’s Toy Story of Terror, as well as Pixar’s The Incredibles, Ratatouille, Up and Cars 2 has composed the special’s original music. Premiering tonight in the U.S. is the second part of the Worricker trilogy, Turks & Caicos directed by David Hare and starring Bill Nighy as MI5 spy Johnny Worricker, alongside Christopher Walken, Winona Ryder, Helena Bonham Carter and Ralph Fiennes. The film’s original music is composed by Paul Englishby (An Englishby, Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day) who previously scored Hare’s Page Eight. The composer also scored the final part in the trilogy, Salting the Battlefield. Premiering tonight is the HBO original mini-series Olive Kitteridge directed by Lisa Cholodenko based on Elizabeth Strout’s Pulitzer Price-winning novel of the same title and starring Frances McDormand, Richard Jenkins, Zoe Kazan, Bill Murray, John Gallagher Jr., Jesse Plemons and Brady Corbet. Carter Burwell (Fargo, Twilight, True Grit, Mildred Pierce) who previously scored Cholodenko’s 2010 feature The Kids Are All Right has composed the series’ original music. No word yet on a soundtrack release.
