Premiering tonight is the six-part series Last Tango in Halifax created by Sally Wainwright and starring Derek Jacobi, Anne Reid, Sarah Lancashire and Nicola Walker. The show’s original score is composed by Murray Gold (Doctor Who). The comedy drama follows two widowers in their seventies. When their respective grandsons put their details on Facebook they rediscover a passionate relationship that started over sixty years ago. Euros Lynn and Sam Donovan directed the project. ‘Shuffleton’s Barbershop’ Soundtrack Details
MovieScore Media will release a soundtrack album for the Hallmark Channel original movie Shuffleton’s Barbershop. The album features the film’s original score written by Emmy-nominated composer Lawrence Shragge (Haven, When Love Is Not Enough: The Lois Wilson Story). The soundtrack will be released digitally on July 30, 2013 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Check out audio clips after the jump. Shuffelton’s Barbershop is directed by Mark Jean and stars Danny Glover, Austin Stowell and Kayla Ewell. The film is inspired by a painting by 20th century artist, Norman Rockwell, and focuses on a big celebrity who revisits his small hometown to reconcile his past with his present, and rediscover the lasting value of family, friends, and fatherhood. The movie premiered this past May on the Hallmark Channel.

Premiering on Saturday, May 11, is the Hallmark Channel original movie The Confession based on the novel by Beverly Lewis, directed by Michael Landon Jr. and starring Katie Leclerk, Bill Oberst Jr., Adrian Paul, Sherry Stringfield, Sandra Van Natta and Cameron Deane Stewart. Lee Holdridge (Beauty and the Beast, Moonlighting) has composed the film’s original score. The project is the sequel to last year’s The Shunning starring Danielle Panabaker, which was also scored by Holdridge and tells the continuing story of Katie Lapp, a young Amish woman who goes on a journey in search of her identity. Shawn Pierce whose scoring credits include such TV shows as Syfy’s Haven and Defying Gravity has composed the film’s music. The movie executive produced by Patricia Heaton, David Hunt, A.J. Morewitz, Norman Denver and Dale Cornick centers on a neighborhood that bands together to save the life of a special teenage boy in dire need of a heart transplant.
