Maisie Music Publishing will release a soundtrack album for the Netflix original film The Half of It. The album features the movie’s original music composed by Anton Sanko (Rabbit Hole, The Possession, Big Love, Ouija, The Seagull). Also included is a demo version of the original song Half Way by Joe Pernice. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, October 11 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and other digital music services. The Half of It is written and directed by Alice Wu and stars Leah Lewis, Daniel Diemer, Alexxis Lemire, Wolfgang Novogratz, Collin Chou, Becky Ann Baker, Enrique Murciano, Macintyre Dixon and Catherine Curtin. The coming-of-age comedy follows a shy, introverted, Chinese-American, straight-A student who finds herself helping the school jock woo the girl they both secretly love.

Anton Sanko (Rabbit Hole, Big Love, The Possession, Ouija, The Seagull) has recently scored the upcoming Netflix original film The Half of It. The movie is written and directed by Alice Wu and stars Leah Lewis, Daniel Diemer, Collin Chou and Alexxis Lemire. The romantic comedy drama revolves around a shy, introverted, Chinese-American, straight-A student who finds herself helping the school jock woo the girl they both secretly love. Wu is also producing the project with Anthony Bregman (Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Foxcatcher, Sing Street) and M. Blair Brear (Baskets, Louie).

Anton Sanko Scoring Brad Anderson’s Netflix Movie ‘Fractured’
Anton Sanko (Rabbit Hole, The Obsession, Ouija, Big Love) has recently composed the music for the upcoming Netflix original movie Fractured. The film is directed by Brad Anderson (The Machinist, The Call, Beirut) and stars Sam Worthington, Lily Rabe, Stephen Tobolowsky, Adjoa Andoh and Lucy Capri. The thriller follows. a man who must find his courage and hold onto his sanity when his wife and daughter disappear in the middle of an ER visit. Alan B. McElroy (Wrong Turn, Spawn) wrote the screenplay.
‘Amanda’ Soundtrack Released
Nord-Ouest Films has released a soundtrack album for the French drama Amanda. The album features the film’s original music composed by Emmy Award nominee Anton Sanko (Rabbit Hole, The Possession, Ouija, Big Love, The Seagull). Also included is Jarvis Cocker’s original song Elvis Has Left the Building. The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. Amanda is co-written and directed by Mikhaël Hers and star Vincent Lacoste, Isaure Multrier, Stacy Martin, Ophélia Kolb, Marianne Basler, Jonathan Cohen and Greta Scacchi. The movie follows a young man who finds himself in charge of his seven-year old niece after his sister is brutally killed.
‘Jackals’ Soundtrack Details
Notefornote Entertainment will release a soundtrack album for the horror thriller Jackals. The album features the film’s original music composed by Anton Sanko (Rabbit Hole, The Possession, Ouija, Big Love). The soundtrack will be released within the next couple of weeks. Jackals is directed by Kevin Greutert and stars Stephen Dorff, Johnathon Schaech, Deborah Kara Unger, Ben Sullivan, Chelsea Ricketts and Nick Roux. The movie centers on an estranged family who hire a cult de-programmer to get back their teenage son from a murderous cult, but find themselves under siege when the cultists surround their cabin, demanding the boy back.

Michael Mayer’s ‘The Seagull’ to Feature Music by Nico Muhly
Nico Muhly (The Reader, Margaret, Kill Your Darlings, Howards End) has contributed original music to the upcoming drama The Seagull. He is sharing scoring credit with Anton Sanko who was previously announced as the film’s composer. The movie directed by Michael Mayer (A Home at the End of the World) and starring Annette Bening, Saoirse Ronan, Corey Stoll, Elisabeth Moss, Brian Dennehy, Mare Winningham, Jon Tenney, Glenn Fleshler, Michael Zegen and Billy Howle is based on Anton Chekhov’s classic tragic story of eight people who fall in love with the wrong person. Stephen Karam (Speech & Debate) wrote the screenplay.
