Making its linear debut tonight is the Showtime original series The Curse created by Benny Safdie & Nathan Fielder and starring Emma Stone, Fielder and Safdie. The show’s original music is composed John Medeski and executive produced by Daniel Lopatin (Uncut Gems, Good Time). Milan Records will release a soundtrack album featuring the score this coming Friday, November 17. The comedy premiered this past Friday on Paramount+ with Showtime and will air every Sunday night on Showtime.

Also premiering today is the MGM+ original series Beacon 23 created by Zak Penn based on Hugh Howey’s best-selling book and starring Lean Headey and Stephan James. William Marriott has composed the show’s original score. Ramin Djawadi (Game of Thrones, Pacific Rim, Westworld, Iron Man, House of the Dragon, Eternals) has contributed the theme and also serves as the project’s music producer. ‘Lubo’ Soundtrack Released

Ala Bianca Records has released a soundtrack album for the Italian/Swiss period drama Lubo. The album features the film’s original music composed by Marco Biscarini (Hidden Away, The Man Who Will Come, The Lamb, There Will Come a Day, The Vegetarian). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download here, where you can also check out audio samples. Lubo is co-written and directed by Giorgio Diritti and stars Franz Rogowski, Christophe Sermet, Noemi Besedes, Valentina Bellè, Cecilia Steiner and Joel Basman. The movie follows a traveling busker who is called up for service in the Swiss army to defend against a potential German attack, when he – upon learning his wife has died and his three small children have been taken – flees his unit, adopts a new identity, and begins a desperate search to reunite his family. David Fleming (The Last of Us, The Unforgivable, The Night Logan Woke Up, Hillbilly Elegy, Blue Planet II) has recently scored the upcoming Netflix original film Damsel. The movie is directed by Juan Carlos Fresnadillo (28 Weeks Later, Intruders) and stars Millie Bobby Brown, Angela Bassett, Robin Wright, Nick Robinson, Shohreh Aghdashloo, Ray Winstone, Brooke Carter. The fantasy adventure tells the story of a dutiful damsel who agrees to marry a handsome prince, only to find the royal family has recruited her as a sacrifice to repay an ancient debt. Grammy Award-winning music producer/guitarist/composer Nile Rodgers and Grammy Award-nominated singer/rapper/songwriter The-Dream (aka Terius Gesteelde-Diamant) are collaborating to write original songs for the upcoming horror movie Opus. The film is written and directed by Mark Anthony Green and stars Ayo Edebiri, John Malkovich, Murray Bartlett, Amber Midthunder, Stephanie Suganami, Young Mazino and Tatanka Means. Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the superhero movie The Marvels co-written and directed by Nia DaCosta and starring Brie Larson, Iman Vellani, Teyonah Parris, Samuel L. Jackson,  Gary Lewis, Zawe Ashton, Seo-Jun Park, Mohan Kapur, Zenobia Shroff and Saagar Shaikh. The film’s original music is composed by Laura Karpman (Ms. Marvel, What If..?, American Fiction, Lovecraft Country, Underground, Set It Up). Hollywood Records & Marvel Music have released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score this past Wednesday. Also opening wide is the movie musical Journey to Bethlehem directed by Adam Anders and starring Fiona Palomo, Milo Manheim, Antonio Banderas, Lecrae, Joel Smallbone, MŌRIAH and Stephanie Gil. Adam Anders has also written the film’s original music with Nikki Anders and Peer Astrom. Capitol Christian Music Group has released a soundtrack album featuring the songs from the movie last week. William Marriott has provided the original score for the new MGM+ original series Beacon 23. Ramin Djawadi (Game of Thrones, Westworld, Pacific Rim, Iron Man, Eternals, House of the Dragon, Clash of the Titans) has contributed the theme and also served as the music producer on the show created by Zak Penn (Ready Player One, Free Guy) based on the best-selling book by Hugh Howey and starring Lean Headey and Stephan James. The sci-fi thriller follows a government agent and a stoic ex-military man, whose fates become entangled after they find themselves trapped together inside one of many Beacons that serve as a lighthouse for intergalactic travelers. ‘Cliffhanger’ 30th Anniversary Edition Soundtrack Album Announced

Quartet Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the 1993 action thriller Cliffhanger directed by Renny Harlin and starring Sylvester Stallone, John Lithgow, Michael Rooker & Janine Turner featuring music composed by Trevor Jones (The Dark Crystal, The Last of the Mohicans, Merlin, Labyrinth, Mississippi Burning, Dark City, Excalibur). The album, which is being released to coincide with the movie’s 30th anniversary, features the same content as the (sold out) expanded 2017 soundtrack released by La-La Land Records. The 2-CD set, which is limited to 1,000 copies, is now available to order on the label’s official website, where you can also check out the full album details and listen to audio samples. The album features the composer’s original score from the film and is now available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Your Lucky Day is written and directed by Dan Brown and stars Angus Cloud, Elliot Knight, Jessica Garza, Mousa Hussein Kraish, Sterling Beaumon, Jason Wiles, Spencer Garrett, Sebastian Sozzi and Jason O’Mara. The movie centers on a dispute over a winning lottery ticket that turns into a deadly hostage situation, leaving the witnesses to decide exactly how far they’ll go for a cut of the prize money.
