Dragon’s Domain Records has released the first-ever soundtrack for the 1979 British war action drama The Passage directed by J. Lee Thompson and starring Anthony Quinn, James Mason, Malcolm McDowell and Patricia Neal. The album features the film’s original music composed and conducted by Michael J. Lewis (Sphinx, Theatre of Blood, The Medusa Touch, The Naked Face). The soundtrack was released digitally on the label’s official website this past May and is now also available on all major digital music services, including Amazon. ‘Cliffhanger’ 30th Anniversary Edition Soundtrack Album Announced
Quartet Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the 1993 action thriller Cliffhanger directed by Renny Harlin and starring Sylvester Stallone, John Lithgow, Michael Rooker & Janine Turner featuring music composed by Trevor Jones (The Dark Crystal, The Last of the Mohicans, Merlin, Labyrinth, Mississippi Burning, Dark City, Excalibur). The album, which is being released to coincide with the movie’s 30th anniversary, features the same content as the (sold out) expanded 2017 soundtrack released by La-La Land Records. The 2-CD set, which is limited to 1,000 copies, is now available to order on the label’s official website, where you can also check out the full album details and listen to audio samples. The label has also announced the premiere vinyl release of the title featuring selections of Jones’ score.
