Capitol Christian Music Group has released a second soundtrack album for the musical adventure Journey to Bethlehem. The Deluxe Edition album features the original songs from the film written by music producer Adam Anders (Glee, Rock of Ages, Dirty Dancing) who also directed the movie, Nikki Anders & Peer Astrom and performed by the project’s cast. Also included is the previously unreleased original score from the movie composed by Astrom and Adam Anders. Visit Amazon or any other major digital music services to stream/download the soundtrack. Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the superhero movie The Marvels co-written and directed by Nia DaCosta and starring Brie Larson, Iman Vellani, Teyonah Parris, Samuel L. Jackson, Gary Lewis, Zawe Ashton, Seo-Jun Park, Mohan Kapur, Zenobia Shroff and Saagar Shaikh. The film’s original music is composed by Laura Karpman (Ms. Marvel, What If..?, American Fiction, Lovecraft Country, Underground, Set It Up). Hollywood Records & Marvel Music have released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score this past Wednesday. ‘Journey to Bethlehem’ Soundtrack Album Details
Capitol Christian Music Group will release the official soundtrack album for the musical adventure Journey to Bethlehem. The album features the original songs from the movie written by music producer/composer Adam Anders (Glee, Rock of Ages, Dirty Dancing), singer/songwriter Nikki Anders & songwriter/music producer Peer Astrom and performed by cast members including Fiona Palomo, Milo Manheim, Antonio Banderas, Joel Smallbone, Lecrae, MŌRIAH, Stephanie Gil & others. The soundtrack will be released on November 3. The CD version will be available to order here within the next couple of days. Adam Anders, Nikki Anders & Peer Astrom to Compose Music for ‘Road to Bethlehem’
Deadline is reporting that music producer/composer Adam Anders (Glee, Rock of Ages, Dirty Dancing) is set to make his directorial debut on the upcoming musical feature Road to Bethlehem. He will also compose the project’s original music with singer/songwriter Nikki Anders and songwriter/music producer Peer Astrom. Christy Hall (I Am Not Okay with This) is writing the screenplay. Anders is also producing the Monarch Media, SPACE + ART Entertainment and STORY Collective production with Steve Barnett (Priceless) & Alan Powell, Brandt Andersen (Don Verdean, Exeter) and Stephen Meinen & Ryan Busse.
ABC’s ‘Dirty Dancing’ to Feature Music by Adam Anders & Peer Astrom
Adam Anders and Peer Astrom have been hired to work on the music for ABC’s upcoming movie musical Dirty Dancing. The film based on the 1987 hit movie starring Patrick Swayze & Jennifer Grey is directed by Wayne Blair (The Sapphires) and is set to star Abigail Breslin in the lead role as Baby whose world is opened when she falls for a dance instructor. Jessica Sharzer (American Horror Story, The L Word) is writing the script. Allison Shearmur (Cinderella, The Hunger Games) is producing the project with Eleanor Bergstein who wrote the screenplay for the original movie.

Opening in most theaters is the film adaptation of the musical Rock of Ages directed by Adam Shankman and starring Juliannne Hough, Diego Bonito, Tom Cruise, Russell Brand, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Malin Akerman, Paul Giamatti, Mary J. Blige and Alec Baldwin. WaterTower Music has released the official soundtrack featuring film’s cover versions of classic rock songs by Guns N’Roses, Def Leppard, Foreigner, Journey, Poison, Reo Speedwagon, Joan Jett, Bon Jovi, Pat Benatar and Twisted Sister performed by the film’s cast members. Also opening wide is the comedy That’s My Boy directed by Sean Anders & John Morris (Sex Drive) and starring Adam Sandler, Andy Samberg, Leighton Meester, James Caan, Susan Sarandon, Milo Ventimiglia and Will Forte. Rupert Gregson-Williams has composed the movie’s original score. The composer has been scoring most films produced by Sandler’s Happy Madison Productions over the last couple of years. Watertower Music to Release ‘Rock of Ages’ Soundtrack
Watertower Music has announced that they will release the soundtrack album for the upcoming movie musical Rock of Ages. (UPDATE April 2012: Pre-order the soundtrack on Amazon). The film is an adaptation of the 2006 Broadway musical by Chris D’Arienzo built around classic rock hits from the 1980s and features music by artists including Def Leppard, Foreigner, Journey, Poison, Reo Speedwagon, Joan Jett, Bon Jovi, Night Ranger, Pat Benatar, Whitesnake and Twisted Sister. Adam Anders serves as the film’s music executive producer. Anders who is best known for producing and arranging the songs of the hit TV show Glee is also co-writing the score for Rock of Ages with Peer Astrom (also known as a music producer on Glee). Matt Sullivan (Dreamgirls, Hairspray) is the project’s music supervisor. The movie stars Julianne Hough (Footloose), Diego Boneta (90210), Russell Brand, Paul Giamatti, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Malin Akerman, Mary J. Blige, Alec Baldwin and Tom Cruise.
