Premiering today is the Fox animated comedy Grimsburg created by Catlan McClelland & Matthew Schlissel and starring Jon Hamm, Erinn Hayes, Alan Tudyk, Rachel Dratch, Greg Chun and Kevin Michael Richardson. The show’s original music is composed by Jesse Novak (BoJack Horseman, Tuca & Bertie, The Mindy Project, The Baby-Sitters Club, Champions, Blockbuster). Also premiering in the U.S. today is the British comedy Funny Woman developed by Morwenna Banks based on Nick Hornby’s novel Funny Girl and starring Gemma Arterton, Rupert Everett, Tom Bateman, Clare-Hope Ashitey, David Threlfall, Alexa Davies, Arsher Ali and Emily Bevans. Nainita Desai (The Deepest Breath, For Sama, The Reason I Jump, Crossfire, The Tower, American Murder: The Family Next Door) has composed the show’s original score. Leo Birenberg & Zach Robinson have won their first Emmy Award for their score for The Roku Channel original movie Weird: The Al Yankovic Story in the Outstanding Music Composition for a Limited or Anthology Series, Movie, or Special category at today’s first night of the Creative Arts Emmy Awards ceremony in Los Angeles. Cristobal Tapia de Veer has picked up his third Emmy Award for his music from the Season 2 episode In the Sandbox from HBO’s The White Lotus in the Outstanding Music Composition for a Series category and Danny Elfman won the Emmy in the Original Main Title Theme Music category for Netflix’s Wednesday. 







The British Academy of Film & Television Arts (BAFTA) today announced the longlists for the EE British Academy Film Awards in 2024. This longlisting round was introduced in 2021, resulting in three rounds of voting. Round One voting produced the longlists in all categories announced today. Round Two voting, to determine the nominations, is opening todayto BAFTA’s voting members and will close on January 12. The nominations for the EE BAFTA Film Awards 2024 will be announced on January 18 and the ceremony will take place on February 18.
