dont-breatheExpected to top this weekend’s box office is the horror thriller Don’t Breathe directed by Fede Alvarez and stars Jane Levy, Dylan Minnette, Daniel Zovatto and Stephen Lang. The film’s original music is composed by Roque Banos (The Machinist, In the Heart of the Sea, Sexy Beast, Oldboy) who previously scored the director’s Evil Dead. mechanic-resurrectionAlso opening wide this week is the action thriller Mechanic: Resurrection directed by Dennis Gansel and starring Jason Statham, Jessica Alba, Tommy Lee Jones and Michelle Yeoh. Mark Isham (Crash, Once Upon a Time, A River Runs Through It) who previously scored the first part in the series has composed the film’s original score. ‘Don’t Breathe’ Soundtrack Released

The album features the film’s original music composed by Roque Banos (The Machinist, Evil Dead, In the Heart of the Sea, Sexy Beast, Oldboy). The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio samples. A physical version will be coming out in a couple of weeks. Visit Amazon to pre-order the CD. ringsMatthew Margeson has been hired to score the upcoming horror thriller Rings. The film is directed by F. Javier Gutierrez (Before the Fall) and stars Matilda Lutz, Alex Roe, Johnny Galecki, Aimee Teegarden, Bonnie Morgan and Vincent D’Onofrio. The movie is the third part in the Ring franchise and follows a young woman who becomes worried about her boyfriend when he explores a dark subculture surrounding a mysterious videotape said to kill the watcher seven days after he has viewed it. The song is performed by Florence + The Machine who previously contributed a song to 2012’s Snow White and the Huntsman. The track is now available to download on Amazon. Jackson is based on the Ransom Riggs novel and follows a teenager who finds himself transported to an island where he must help protect a group of orphans with special powers from creatures out to destroy them. The film marks the directorial debut of producer Susan Johnson (Mean Creek, Eye of the Hurricane) and stars Bel Powley, Nathan Lane, Gabriel Byrne, Vanessa Bayer, Colin O’Donoghue, Jason Ritter and William Moseley. The movie is based on Caren Lissner’s best-selling 2003 novel and follows an awkward and isolated 19-year-old genius who is challenged to put her convictions to the test by venturing out on to the NYC dating scene. hands-of-stoneSony Classical will release a soundtrack album for the boxing drama Hands of Stone. The album features the film’s original score composed by Angelo Milli (Seven Pounds). Also included is the original song Champions performed by Usher & Rubén Blades who also co-wrote the song with Raphael Saadiq and Taura Stinson, as well as more songs by Blades. The soundtrack will be released digitally on September 2, 2016. Hands of Stone is written and directed by Jonathan Jakubowicz and stars Robert De Niro, Edgar Ramirez, Usher Raymond IV, Ana de Armas, Ellen Barkin and John Turturro. The album features the original song Start by John Legend (who serves as an executive producer on the movie), as well as tracks by Janet Jackson, The Delfonics, Soul II Soul, Slick Rick, Bill Withers, Al B. Sure!, Martha Reeves & The Vandellas and Teddy Pendergrass. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, August 26. Southside with You is written and directed by Richard Tanne and stars Tika Sumpter, Vanessa Bell Calloway, Parker Sawyers and Jerod Haynes. ‘American Pastoral’ Soundtrack Details

The album features the film’s original music composed and conducted by Academy Award winner Alexandre Desplat (The Grand Budapest Hotel, The King’s Speech, Godzilla, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, The Imitation Game). Also included is a cover version of Moon River performed by Priscilla Ahn. The soundtrack will be released physically on October 21, 2016 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. American Pastoral starring Mc Gregor, Jennifer Connelly, Dakota Fanning, Uzo Aduba and David Strathairn is based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning Philip Roth novel and follows a family whose seemingly idyllic existence is shattered by the social and political turmoil of the 1960s.
