The show is created by Moira Walley-Beckett (Breaking Bad, Flesh and Bone) based on Lucy Maud Montgomery’s novel Anne of Green Gables and stars Amybeth McNulty, Geraldine James, R.H. Thomson, Lucas Jade Zumann, Dalila Bela, Corinne Koslo and Aymeric Jett Montaz. The drama centers on a young orphaned girl in the late 1890s who, after an abusive childhood spent in orphanages and the homes of strangers, mistakenly is sent to live with an aging sister and brother. The film is directed by Michael Mayer (A Home at the End of the World, Flicka) and stars Annette Bening, Saoirse Ronan, Corey Stoll, Elisabeth Moss, Brian Dennehy, Mare Winningham, Jon Tenney, Glenn Fleshler, Michael Zegen and Billy Howle. The movie is based on Anton Chekhov’s classic tragic story of eight people who fall in love with the wrong person. Stephen Karam (Speech & Debate) wrote the screenplay. Academy to Team with LA Philharmonic for Oscar Concert 2018

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences is teaming with the Los Angeles Philharmonic to present next year’s nominated scores live in concert. The event is set to take place on February 28, 2018 at the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Downtown Los Angeles. Conductor Thomas Wilkins will lead the celebration and the program will include suites and video from each nominated film. The Academy presented its first Oscar concert back in 2014 at UCLA’s Royce Hall. The nominations for the 90th Academy Awards will be announced on January 23, 2018 and the ceremony will be held on Oscar Sunday, March 4 at the Dolby Theatre at Hollywood & Highland Center in Hollywood.
Soundtrack for Amazon’s ‘Bosch’ Announced

Varese Sarabande has announced the details of the first soundtrack album for the Amazon original series Bosch. The album features selections from the show’s original music from all three seasons composed by Jesse Voccia (A Haunted House 2, The Big C). Also included is the drama’s main titles song Can’t Let Go performed by Caught A Ghost. The soundtrack will be released digitally on April 21, 2017 and physically on May 5. Philippe Rombi is reteaming with director Francois Ozon on the upcoming French thriller Amant Double. The film is written and directed by Ozon and stars Jérémie Renier, Marine Vacth and Jacqueline Bisset. The movie follows a fragile young woman who falls in love with her psychoanalyst, but soon discovers that her lover is concealing part of his identity. Eric & Nicolas Altmayer (OSS 117, Saint Laurent) are producing the project. The composer is recording his score this month.
