Four new movies are opening nationwide this week:

Opening in most theaters is the action adventure Rampage directed by Brad Peyton and starring Dwayne Johnson, Naomie Harris, Malin Akerman, Jake Lacy, Joe Manganiello, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, P.J. Byrne and Marley Shelton. The film’s original music is composed by Andrew Lockington (San Andreas, Journey to the Center of the Earth). WaterTower Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score and a new track by Kid Cudi. Also opening wide is Blumhouse’s supernatural thriller Truth or Dare directed by Jeff Wadlow and starring Lucy Hale, Tyler Posey, Violett Beane, Nolan Gerard Funk, Hayden Szeto and Sophia Taylor Ali. Matthew Margeson (Kingsman: The Secret Service & The Golden Circle, Eddie the Eagle, Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children) has composed the film’s original music. ‘The Good Karma Hospital’ Soundtrack Announced

Silva Screen Records has announced a soundtrack album for the ITV series The Good Karma Hospital. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Ben Foster (Thunderbirds Are Go!, Happy Valley, Our Girl, Torchwood). The soundtrack will be released digitally on April 20, 2018 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The Good Karma Hospital is created by Dan Sefton and stars Amanda Redman, Amrita Acharia, Neil Morrisey and James Floyd. Quartet Records has announced the details of the soundtrack album for the Spanish romantic comedy The Laws of Thermodynamics (Las leyes de la termodinámica). The album features the film’s original music composed and conducted by Fernando Velazquez (The Impossible, The Orphanage, A Monster Calls, Mama, Devil, Hercules). ‘Jim Henson’s The Storyteller’ Soundtrack Box Set Announced

Varese Sarabande has announced a limited-edition box set for the anthology series Jim Henson’s The Storyteller. The 3-CD set features selections of the original music from the show and its spinoff series Jim Henson’s The Storyteller: Greek Myths composed by Academy Award winner Rachel Portman (Emma, The Cider House Rules, Chocolat, The Manchurian Candidate, A Dog’s Purpose). The soundtrack will be released on April 27, 2018 with pre-orders beginning today on the label’s official website. Jim Henson’s The Storyteller stars John Hurt in the title role, who, aided by his cynical dog (performed by Brian Henson), narrates fascinating tales that combine humor, intrigue, and magic. Sub Pop Records has released a soundtrack album for the ABC comedy The Mayor. The album features the original songs from the show performed by Brandon Micheal Hall (aka Courtney Rose) and members of the cast, and written by Daveed Diggs, William Hutson and Jonathan Snipes (of the group Clipping). The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio samples. The label has previously released individual songs as digital singles. The Mayor is created by Jeremy Bronson and stars Hall, alongside Lea Michele, Bernard David Jones, Marcel Spears and Yvette Nicole Brown. Sony Masterworks will release the official soundtrack album for the romantic comedy Overboard. The album features the songs from the movie by artists including Bomba Estéreo, Jacob Forever, Gerardo Ortíz, Regulo Caro, Gente de Zona, Los Hanky Pankys & more. The soundtrack will be released digitally on April 27, 2018 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Overboard is directed by Rob Greenberg and stars Eugenio Derbez, Anna Faris, Eva Longoria, John Hannah and Cecilia Suarez. The MGM production is a new take on the 1987 comedy classic of the same title and follows a spoiled playboy from one of Mexico’s wealthiest families who is thrown overboard his yacht and becomes the target of revenge from his mistreated employee. BMG will release the first soundtrack album for the Netflix original series Easy. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Dan Romer (Beasts of the Southern Wild, Beasts of No Nation, The Good Doctor, Atypical, Digging for Fire). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, April 13 and will be available to download on Amazon. Easy is created by Joe Swanberg and follows a group of diverse Chicagoans fumbling through the modern maze of love, sex, technology and culture. Mac Quayle has been tapped to score the upcoming FX original series Pose. The show is created by Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk & Steven Canals and stars Dominique Jackson, Mj Rodriguez, Indya Moore, Angelica Ross, Hallie Sahar, Ryan Jamaal Swain, Billy Porter, Dyllon Burnside, Evan Peters, Kate Mara and James Van Der Beek. The drama is set in the 1980s and looks at the juxtaposition of several segments of life and society in New York: the rise of the luxury Trump-era universe, the downtown social and literary scene & the ball culture world. ‘Peter Rabbit’ Score Album Details

The details of the score release for the family comedy Peter Rabbit have been revealed. The album features the film’s original music composed by Dominic Lewis (The Man in the High Castle, Money Monster, Free Birds, DuckTales, Rough Night). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, April 13, by Madison Gate Records and will be available to download on Amazon. As previously reported, a soundtrack single featuring a song from the movie and a suite from Lewis’ score was released in February. Peter Rabbit directed by Will Gluck and starring Rose Byrne, Domhnall Gleeson & Sam Neill and featuring the voices of James Corden, Daisy Ridley, Elizabeth Debicki and Margot Robbie is now playing in theaters worldwide. Garth Stevenson Scoring ‘Them That Follow’

Garth Stevenson revealed in a recent interview with Film Music Magazine that he is currently scoring the upcoming dramatic thriller Them That Follow. The film is written and directed by Brittany Poulton & Daniel Savage and stars Olivia Colman, Alice Englert, Thomas Mann, Kaitlyn Dever, Jim Gaffigan and Walton Goggins. The movie is set deep in the wilds of Appalachia, where believers handle poisonous snakes to prove their righteousness before God. Gerard Butler, Alan Siegel (Olympus/London Has Fallen, Den of Thieves) and Danielle Robinson are producing the project for G-BASE, alongside Bradley Gallo & Michael Helfant (The Call, Mr. Right) for Amasia.
