Milan Records will release a soundtrack album for the documentary Armstrong. The album features the film’s original score composed by Chris Roe (Mission Control: The Unsung Heroes of Apollo, Death of a Gentleman). Also included is the original song Flight of Fancy written by Neil Armstrong’s son Mark Armstrong and performed by the astronaut’s granddaughter Kali Armstrong. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, July 12 (click here to download the album). A CD version will also be available. Armstrong directed by David Fairhead and featuring the voice of Harrison Ford details Armstrong’s near-death experiences as a fighter pilot in Korea, his test pilot days, the drama and excitement of the Gemini 8 and Apollo 11 missions, and the challenges that followed his extraordinary fame. Paramount Music will release the official soundtrack album for Alexandre Aja’s horror thriller Crawl. The album features the film’s original music composed by Max Aruj & Steffen Thum (iBoy, Warning Shot) and produced by Lorne Balfe (Mission: Impossible – Fallout, The LEGO Batman Movie, Home). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, July 12 and will be available to download here. Crawl is written and directed by Aja and stars Kaya Scodelario and Barry Pepper. The movie centers on a young woman who becomes trapped in a flooding house during a Category 5 hurricane and must battle against Florida’s most savage and feared predators. The albums feature the songs from the movie by artists such as lead actor Master P, as well as Young Jeezy, E-40, K Camp, Laci Kay, King Roy Gotti, OSOS, NBA Young Boy, Romeo, DC Young Fly, Silkk the Shocker, FatBoy SSE, Krazy & others. Walt Disney Records has released the original song Spirit from Jon Favreau’s The Lion King. The track is performed by Beyoncé and co-written by herself, Timothy McKenzie & Ilya Salmanzadeh. Spirit is also featured as the previously listed “TBA” track 14 on the movie’s official soundtrack album, which also features the songs by Elton John & Tim Rice and the score by Hans Zimmer and which will be released digitally this Thursday, July 11. Rolfe Kent (Sideways, Wedding Crashers, Election, Legally Blonde, Up in the Air) has recently composed the music for the upcoming Disney+ original movie Timmy Failure. The film is directed by Tom McCarthy (Spotlight, The Visitor, The Station Agent) and stars Winslow Fegley, Ophelia Lovibond and Craig Robinson. The family comedy is based on Stephan Pastis’ novel of the same title and follows an 11-year boy who believes he is the CEO of his fictional detective agency, Total Failure, Inc. and whose goal is to become so rich his mother won’t have to stress out about the bills anymore.
